Watch and read along as Suzy bravely endeavors into the unknown. She encounters hardship but eventually finds her way back to her friends and a big surprise.

You can use this enhanced version of the paperback to further connect with your children. Here are 5 points of reference and questions you can use to deeply engage with your children and students:
1. Christmas tree
-The animals are all decorating the tree for Christmas. Do you decorate a tree? What do you put on the very top of the tree? Who helps set it up and take it down?
2. The big slide!
-Suzy bravely slides down the hill and launches herself into the air. Is there snow where you live? Do you enjoy riding a sled or toboggan down a hill? Are you interested in skiing or snowboarding?
3. Persistence
-Suzy tries several times to jump and get the star despite her repeated failures. Think deeply for a moment and try to remember a time that you failed but continued trying and ended up succeeding.
4. Cold and alone
-How do you think Suzy felt when she was caught in the snowstorm alone? What kind of things was she thinking about? What would you do if you were her?
5. Friends to the rescue.
-Suzy finds her way back home as a result of her friends. She is overjoyed to recognize their voices. Talk about a time you were excited to see your friends.
