A lovely and touching story Steve. I have a close-shave duck although he wasn't in the best condition although I have been restoring him as of recent. My job now is to get him to actually run, but now I think about it I've been wanting to pick up a Tomy Duck myself. And while duck is technically a fan favorite of everyone your story definitely has more heart and soul behind it. keep up the good work man.
Duck should have had the Red Branch line coaches and Oliver should have had scruffy and Toad and also Oliver should have been released in the US that way he wouldn't have been so hard to find

Have you ever heard of 'The Vietnam Gameboy'? Well, my own version of that is my Tomy Duck. Bent siderods, potentially a few paint scratches, but he still runs like a charm. Now, _thats_ the Great Western Way.
As a person who owns a tomy duck, I can assure that the statement that when you search for a tomy duck it comes up with Donald Duck is sure true, the only way I was able to get my hands on a tomy duck was through pure luck by finding one of about $50.00 AU (which is very cheap for a tomy duck)
I own the fisher price mattel Duck(I gave him a faster motor because the one it had was always slow for some reason), and I own the new version of the Ducks Close Shave pack from 2013.
Outgrowing Thomas. Oh how they underestimated you. And plus Thomas wasn't always JUST for children and in fact parents today still watch it. Thomas may have strayed from being for all ages to labeled as kids but the community is right when saying Thomas is not just for the young people. It introduces them to trains which helps railroads in the real world and volunteering for railroads. If trains aren't just for children, this means Thomas is not just for children too

It really is. Oliver and Duck's rolling stock should have been swapped around

I like that the swap is a good coincidence, being Oliver is a 14xx which is a passenger loco and should only really be pulling autocoaches
