Played in Thailand 6 years ago. Beautiful courses and people. Loved your review. Just an honest review with a good player having a less than ideal day. I prefer that over someone editing their scores to make them look better than they are. Ill definitely be checking this course out. Thank you for an honest assessment.
I just came back from Thailand and played ekkachai golf and country club. I wouldn’t consider it a “country club” though by US standards but I had fun. It’s no way near as nice as nikanti. I wish I saw your video before going! Nikanti will be on my list. Did your all inclusive cost include the shuttle to and from the course?
Cost of the golf course does not include transportation :) we actually played Nikanti as a part of a week booking with GolfAsian. They provide transportation from hotel to course. I made a video about our trip with GolfAsian that goes into more details!
love the vids... used to live in those parts... got a couple of great hacks for you if you are planning another trip to Thailand.... might save some cash without any drama ..let me know
Great video. Thanks for sharing your experience there. Did the rates you mention include your car to/from the course? if not, what did that run you? Between the quality of the course, the meals, snacks, clubhouse services such as locker rooms, showers, sauna etc (had you used them) did you feel you got your money's worth? It seems reasonable if the food was decent and enough. Were drinks (beer/alc) included?
Hi Jon, great questions! 1. Rate does not include transportation to and from the golf course. We booked a whole week package with Golf Asia that included all golf, hotels and transport (not sure how much each transport is exactly) 2. We felt the cost was worth it. Compared to many courses in Canada, where green fees + cart + tax will run you close to that amount, Nikanti is a far better course with amazing conditions, personal caddy and food. 3. Water is included and unlimited. Beer and alcohol is additional. Hope that helps!
@Golf with Shan Thanks so much. I'm recently retired in Jomtien Thailand, and your videos have given me some ideas for some Bangkok staycations. ✌🏼😃 I'll have to check out Golf Asia. Thanks again. You rock! ⛳😎
Saw your frustrated face on hole 15... It can be very difficult to get the ball out after it lands on a rough hill. Overall Nikanti Golf looked like a pretty tough course but very beautiful!
Tough course, nothing wrong with bogey golf (or a little less), bet you'd do better a second time around knowing the course a little better. Wonder where you're off to this winter? Thai caddies so much fun.
We booked our trip with GolfAsian so they got us a later tee time for 2 people. I'm not sure if maybe they reserve tee times for certain companies or members.
When you're having a bad round and you're frustrated , drink an alcoholic beverage and chill and say " thank you, John " ! ( Preferably , earlier in your round )
You seem to lose your balance on many of your shots . My suggestion is to splay your feet outwards a bit and keep your head a little behind the line of the ball . This will help with accuracy and stability !
Hi Shan, I will play the Nikanti course coming Thursday, I'm based in the U.S.. I noticed that your boyfriend wears LONG pants. Is this required by their dress code? I couldn't find anything online.
Thanks for sharing this! The facilities and golf course look amazing, and I hope to play there with my friends as well one day!
" Golf be like that sometimes" love it!
Looks a very interesting course. Well done Shan.
Love ur videos!!! Planning a golf trip to Bangkok in 2024 so ur videos are so helpful! Thank u😊
Yay! Excited for you! 😊
The championship hole was amazing! Such a good shot for EAGLE!
What a amazing course. Great video!
Have played their 4 times great course
Good for you Shan, Nikanti is an awesome day out, I'm going there again in about 6 weeks. It will be a regular every time in Thailand.

Just found this, I've played in Phuket but now you got me wondering 🤔 💭 to play all those other courses.
Great video 👏🏽
Thanks! 😊
Love the music. So relaxing. What is the name of it? As always, thanks!!!
Haha thanks! I used copyright free music from Storyblocks 😂 now I use Epidemic sounds. I just search for chill jazz or lo-fi beats
@@GolfwithShan yea, I like listening to Epidemic sounds too.
Great video. Im an agent in Thailand and the price as of November 1st 2023 is now 1000 baht more
We can use our credit cards like American Express for booking game to save costs
My favorite course
Good video are you playing any in Pattaya
We did! Upcoming videos :)

I love that! Happy retirement 😊
Hi Shan, the course looks beautiful and very difficult. You shot 88 and I'm guessing it's an off day for you. What is your handicap?
I stumbled across your excellent FAQ video, so around 10 hcp.
Yep! Really depends on how consistently I'm playing (Canadian winters 😂)
Saw your frustrated face on hole 15... It can be very difficult to get the ball out after it lands on a rough hill. Overall Nikanti Golf looked like a pretty tough course but very beautiful!
Did you book direct with the resort or through one of the golf booking websites?
It was part of our one week package with Golf Asia
How much is it for pro
Did you move to Bangkok?
Nope, still living in Toronto! I wish 😂 love Bangkok

Thai caddies are amazing! I have a few places in the works for this winter 😊
That's expensive. And hot. You are dedicated. I just want to have fun and be outside, where could I go? I'll keep watching.
You have a fantastic stance and swing.....Shave off a couple of shots and you'd be playing the LPGA!!
It looks like we are only able to book 630 tee time because we only have 2 people as well.
Is this the same case for you?
We booked our trip with GolfAsian so they got us a later tee time for 2 people. I'm not sure if maybe they reserve tee times for certain companies or members.

Hi, long pants are not required 😂 you can wear shorts. My bf is just weird and likes long pants even in the heat. Have a great day at Nikanti!
Cannot believe l listened to so many words which were rubbish
++
So anoying you need to hire a caddy in Thailand.
I only play $2 / hole. My minimum used to be $1 a hole. I don’t play much golf anymore because I’m worth 22 million euro but I still feel poor.
You are de accelerating into your putts.
