This was a movie that I felt Govinda had a raw deal. At that time Akshay Kumar was rising as the new comedy king. Govinda wasn't completely out but was in politics and Bollywood moved on from his brand of comedy. Govinda's typical comedy may not have been suitable in a Priyadarshan movie therefore his scenes may have been restricted and the main focus was on Akshay Kumar. If you watch properly, Govinda doesn't have equal screen time as Akshay Kumar. For example, watch his No.1 movies or David Dhawan movies you can see how involved he was, in Bhagam Bhag, he seems non-existent. But his state in the present time is nothing to do with the role he had in this movie.

This is a nice film. This film shows it's audience a very serious issue where police harass innocent people by indulging them in false case. This film also shows how locals harass people who come to work there. This film shows how hard it is for people who go abroad without knowing english or the local language spoken there. Everything is shown in such a way that it appears a comedy. The harsh reality is shown in a comedy form. Hats off to the director, producer, story-writer and to all the participants who made this film a success.

I should say a comedy masterpiece, I don't remember when I had laughed so much, especially during the ending scenes. All the cast of characters have acted very convincingly. Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Govinda, Shakti Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Lara Dutta, Asrani, and the other gangsters.
