I am trying to research on what fig cuttings to purchase. I live in PITTSBURGH Pa for now until I move to South Jersey in a few months….. appreciate the video. Was leaning towards champagne and lsu purple so far
Cyprus Honey looks a lot like Azores White. Was my one of my favorite figs this year,it had a honey figgy flavor that was unique to me. Do you have Azores White?
It depends on who you bought it from and how healthy and developed it was check out this video on the top 10 reasons for not getting figs th-cam.com/video/MVCBXv1uskM/w-d-xo.html
I tried one last year it didn't measure up the flavor from my Cypress honey but the tree was very young I'm looking forward to trying it again this year again maybe the flavor wasn't quite developed yet.
I just put a Peters Honey into the ground along with my Smith and Italian 258. I hear that Peters honey… once mature… is extremely productive of rain resistance figs. A heavy bearer or Breba crop that tastes better than the main. Also good and Cold hardy and a vigorous grower.
@@great0789 In the past I had a Peter's Honey in-ground for several years: can confirm it is productive and the mature fruits are wonderful. My experience with the Breba was that it wasn't as good as main crop PH, probably because the brebas came in around May and didn't have that summer heat to ripen them and bring out their best sweetness. Not gonna lie though, the Cyprus Honey is looking great and I wish I could find one!
I am sooo excited to learn about this! 🌹
