THANK YOU.
Thank you Prof. McCulloch for choosing 'Spem in Alium' by Thomas Tallis for the end of podcast takeaway. One extraordinary piece of music indeed.
This is brilliant, fascinating & so well communicated!
I blame Cromwell quite a bit for Anne’s downfall, however, when you are working for a monster like Henry, I guess he can’t take all the blame. I just think that Anne died probably because of Cromwell. I don’t know if Henry would have wanted Anne dead if the charges against her weren’t so damaging to his ego. I think Cromwell wanted to make sure Anne was completely out of the picture… he recognized a formidable foe when he saw one.
Prof Diarmaid is an entrancing storyteller ❤ I would love to learn from him.
I loved this conversation
Thank you! Great information.
Thank you for tuning in!
Great discussion.
The quality of poor Diarmauds audio is woeful, a pity
...”well best of luck with THAT project...” lol
Interesting that Cromwell and Lady Mary were allies, and Cromwell and Anne Boleyn were actually enemies. I've always thought the opposite. One thing I know for sure; Henry was a complete PSYCHO!!
What's the name of the music.
The singer songwriter said eyes of blue? For Elizabeth I? Hmm.
