- In this video we discuss our design process delivering a premium pond that is low-maintenance and natural-looking.

We use imported Ozark Mountain mossy boulders and Aquascape Inc filtration equipment and go the extra mile to deliver the best possible water feature to your backyard.

Very nice! Good call pulling the rocks back and keeping the pond open like that. Mulch would have made for a cleaner look in this urban setting but straw I as an appropriate material for a casual rural setting. 😊
I do agree shredded wood mulch can give a cleaner look but it is more inclined to washing into the pond and this was a bit of a low spot so we opted for pine straw which locks together very well and doesn't wash into the pond. Also, dyed mulch and even regular much can have toxic chemicals that harm fish. Not all clients prefer pine straw but in my opinion it is the superior mulch medium around a natural water garden.

It’s all about priorities and what folks value. We consult wealthy leads who don’t care much for a pond, others of more humble means who save for years and years to get the water feature they’ve always wanted.
