If I am arriving in a country late at night or if that country does not have smooth transport links, I always pre book a taxi through a reputable company. It might cost a bit more, but don't play with your safety.

A lot of things you mentioned are totally normal, like walking 2 blocks ahead out of the airport to flag down a taxi. To get a taxi, stick your arm out and shout taxi. As soon as they hear it, they’ll stop. Also, the taxi driver taking your phone and using it as a satnav, again totes normal. The scammer walking with you pretending to guide you for 100 dhirams. Sucks but happens. Just gotta ignore their presence and keep walking confidently. A lot of these are cultural differences. Plus, there are a LOT of black Moroccans, dark skin and light, but all super welcoming. Great vlog, and happy birthdayyyy!!
