Great video, and SWEET Kramer!!!! I love the way Dimebag would catch those natural harmonics wherever he happened to be playing, and then use the bar to kinda make them sing the pitch of whatever key he was playing in. All the players you named, plus Dime, Randy Rhoads, and Zakk Wylde make some really awesome sounds with this stuff. Thanks for the great info. Rock on! \m/ \m/
@aroi70 If it hums even through a power conditioner, try adding a noise gate to your setup - it sounds like actual interference not regular 60Hz hum. Also, plug it in to a wall in a different room (i.e. a different circuit) and see if you get the same hum. Also, make sure it's not next to anything giving off EMI like your computer, or a fan, etc... If it's real bad, you may even have a bad power supply.
You mentioned schecter guitars,,,,what do you think of them? I never played or really heard one, By the way thanks for ALL your great videos,,,you rock
i got a floyd rose tremelo, scared to depress the down too far down..doesnt seem to want to go..and i can hear a creaking sound a bit too..anyone know what that may be?
EVH changed it all, but no Jeff Beck style? ...esp the locked-back flutter sound. My fav with the Wham is the "wrong note" application...hit an f 'ed note and the whammy will fix it every time! lol!
ya take my locknuts off tune down a half step and retighten. How long could it possibly take...OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO my God !!!! Hours later I'll be ready for the lesson. It took me about 5 years to get my floyd rose to where I can tune it once and it'll stay. (That's right, same strings) It only comes out of the box for solo's.
If only he said "Shut up and play yer guitar! " That'll totally make my day! Haha
Bending into the chords is epic! Great Lesson! Thanks Papa! I need a friggin Kramer/Ibanez
Omg I love you! Whey time I look for guitar lessons I end up here and you know exactly what I want

Way to go man, I feel like I could marry whammy bars. They make music so much better.

Damn I need a whammyyyyy
It's much better to flick of the string with the left hand, as dropping the whammy bar and then tap a harmonic on way up.
@pfmrokman You haven't changed the strings in 5 years?? It's really not that hard once you figure out what to do.
Schecter Diamond Series Hellraiser has Floyd Rose tremolo on it and it's so hard to tune D:
Is your father The Edge?
