Mr. Reeves is, without a doubt, the best celebrity since we lost Robin Williams. We need more people like these two, who are down to earth. Human. Relatable, and above all else, friendly. They don't treat you like you're lesser because of their fame, they treat you like a person. Keanu Reeves and Ryan Reynolds are two celebrities I have the utmost respect for. Just two wholesome, chill guys who love what they do and love their fans. Ryan Reynolds even sent my step-dad a personalized birthday message just because my mom asked him nicely to.
I got the opportunity to meet and have drinks with Ryan Reynolds back in 2006 at a rave in downtown LA of all places. You wouldn’t think the guy is even a celebrity if you didn’t already know, just a funny social guy.

There were times when celebrities understood that signing a picture etc. makes the day for the fans. And it is not that much work.
However, today many "fans" are not grateful but demanding. They never stop or they sell signed pictures etc.

There are tons of friendly, helpful, caring people in the world. But a lot of times if you are NOT famous and you try to help, people will assume you're a creep or you're actually trying to cause trouble.
I have a bunch of tattoos from my time in the military, so the reactions I get from strangers entirely depends on whether I'm dressed in a button-down and slacks or if I'm dressed in a tank top and gym shorts.
I've had families cross the street so that they wouldn't cross paths with me, and I'm a small dude 🙄
I donate to charities, volunteer at an animal rescue, and I'm starting my own business. But people only see what's on the outside 💯

I met him back in the '90s. His band was playing and he hung out afterwards talking to the fans. Nicest guy.

One of the very very few Hollywood associated people I actually respect. His soul remained within him, instead of him letting it rot away.
I think Keanu Reeves understands that he is a person many look up to. Being a public figure, if you want people to be good to people you a person people look up to must uphold the standard you wish everyone would uphold.
This is leadership by example. There are a whole lot of religious types out there who could learn from Mr Reeves. . politicians could learn SO much, as could many police officers, security guards, insurance company folks, ALL the KARENS, people in crowds. . and a whole lot of parents. Actually, anyone and everyone who wants to be shown respect (or tries to demand it) ought to first start showing respect, decency and compassion as per Mr Reeves examples. Oh and it's redundant to say 'people' need to behave like him if we want a better world . . UNLESS you either are or intend to become one of those 'people'. Ok. I was at the premier for "Henry's Game" at the Toronto Film Festival and he signed autographs for 30 minutes, then stopped at the doors of the theatre with James Cann (at his own red carpet event) and held the door open for my girlfriend and I who were let in behind them (because of a contest I won earlier the same day). He's definitely next level class. I saw him playing slots at a hotel lobby in Vegas, and he was the same guy when two fans noticed him in the dark corner. Everyone has their bad days, so good on him.

This man has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid in the 80s. More specifically because of his role in the movie Youngblood (he was the goalie and actually played hockey irl). As I was also a goalie. Watching his career over the years has been rather interesting.
