What is the necessity of using cookie when we have session
Sessions are maintained server-side whereas cookies are stored on the browser.
Session also helps to keep track of visited states
one task of cookies is to maintain a login in session we set a cookie in browser(using seerver side) then we want that cookie(demand the cookie from the browser) in server side again to authenticate if the session is maintained so cookies are send from client to server again and again to keep logged in this is called authentication via cookies!
awesome sir!! please upload theroy video on session and cookies.thanks in advance
Yes sir can you make a other video where you say about cookie !
Hi Navin, In Sq servlet you have initialized int k=0; but why it's not taking that value.

Does the Client send the all the cookies or only the cookies corresponding to the webside? I know this is a dumb question but i just want to clarify.
Alien? no I'm not.
Ah okay, I see what you're saying
Isn't creating session and cookie object a container job. Passing session id in response. ?
What's the difference between session and servlet context and when to use what?
Did you find out?
Great JavaIST.
Sir, please suggest best book for Core Java, Advance Java & Java ME🙏🙏

Please explain cookies and http session in detail once again
Why we use sendredirect method when we are using session based servlet to servlet technique ??
nice simplified tutorial
A question here, since you mentioned previously that the client will only send cookies to the serve with specific domain name, why will it send the cookies obtained from AddServlet to sqServlet? I mean, I think the client will not send cookies obtained from AddServlet to any other servlet. Could any one explain?
Is RequestDispatcher not commonly use if we have sendRedirect to do the same job? Otherwise, what occassion to use it? Thanks.
Both seems like to do same job in the example but RequestDispatcher is *sending the initial request* made by the client to other "second" servlet (using the first servlet) whereas the sendRedirect(sends response) is *sending the response by using url specified in sendRedirect* it could be any url and in the example it was the url for the second servlet and when this url hits the browser it goes to tomcat and then to second servlet for which the url belongs as stated in the sendredirect("/sq");
Under the Cookie Object (or after it )add this line
what does it do ,Makes it *public* to any Servlet can acces it
Cookie_object_name.setPath("/");
Thank me later :D
thank you for making this vedio!
just learned servlet through this video..thanks alot sir!!
hey i need more explanation about cookie and it flow
Sir, why Session management and Http session cookie doesn't work on doPost method?
It is reasonable that url pattern doesn't work on doPost method but I can't understand what's the reason for the other 2 ways not working?
Please give clarity on that.
your work appreciated....nice explanation.
I have one doubt,
anyways we have forward(req, resp) using which we can transfer data from one servlet to another servlet then why there is a concept of the session?
I got that.... Forward, including redirect these all are used to move over servlet.
Session is used to send the data over servlets/pages

Hello sir make tutorial on "flutter"
If the request object remains the same across pages why can't we set attributes in it and retrieve it in the redirected page? Is it because the redirection is a new request? If so is it possible to save the current request object and send it to the redirected page on redirection call?

The name of the second servlet is sqservlet am I right? But you just write sq in requestdispatcher. Why?
Sq is a path not servlet name..
We mention mapping details in web.xml..
thats the url of SqServlet by which it is accessed

y u speak so fast..
you are teaching too much fast. Instead of explaining the things you are just practicing yourself. If someone is beginner then this tutorial is not for you. I have watched so many videos and I really like the way of your teaching but this tutorial I don't like it.
