So thankful that my grandmother and mother taught me these things. To this day I still garden and preserve most of my food. Every year I get to work growing, harvesting and preserving with my mother and feel it connects me to my roots and the earth. Aaah yes the fall time. Cozy,crisp breeze, burnt orange and maroon. Sweaters, scarves, soft long socks, boots, jeans, and everything else. Harvested pumpkins and cinnamon and cider, caramel apples and warm soups.
