Jaw dropping stuff. I don't get surprised or taken aback by much. That blew me away though. So beautiful to watch. My mouth got a bit dry from being open for six min's or so. He he. Thank you from my heart for sharing such a beautiful creation. The work of your hand's is really blessed by the most high Yah. Thank you again for sharing.
Each ball is made of dense steel attached with a very fine steel string to the ceiling where it is control by micro winches on motors. Now control the timing and distance allowed of each ball to go up and down to create whatever pattern you want. Hell of a lot of programming and wiring involved with this very simple looking sculpture.
Very beautiful and technically superior. I'd replace the music after 2:50 however as it becomes really cheesy -- like being at a ice skating program. For me it goes over the top after 5:06. Try watching some of this with sound muted and it becomes spatial poetry.
i'm too hard to please/impress, i guess. kinetic sculptures interest me for about a minute as i say, 'huh, well, that's pretty cool, i guess.' automatons, though, that stuff blows me away.
If you watch this at the highest resolution you will see the wires that connect the spheres to the winches above the supporting superstructure. The spheres obviously are weighted so that they do not wobble or move if there is any ambient air movement. IMHO: the music is a bit much. It destroys the poetry of motion by overdramatizing it.
wow! thats amazing. If your brain doesnt consistently tells you that these balls are only controlled by computers for the right height individually, you'll find yourself lost.
id like to see the top view of the grid ,, and the guy who put the floor washes in needs his arse kicked ,,, but a very good and some what inspirational video
Is it just me or does it seem a lot more like a good job at computer animation than a kinetic sculpture. I'd like to see the machinery or at least a person interacting with one of the spheres before I'll believe it.

Agree! This deserved my h better more futuristic music, with a little funk. Someone should redo this with better music.
Great Video Wallpaper
Amazing, very good job.
Kinda hard to believe that they're all on micro wires, it looks more CGI to me. Don't get me wrong, this vid was awesome!

It is alchemy, lumen alchemy ;o)

Whats with the old lady singing at the end?
This video should be in 3D. I'd go mad
If the strings ever got all tangled, this would turn into a giant mess. Hooo boy.

Simple! there should be a strings! If not, all as i saw there is posible by strings!
own micro winch? I thought it's electromagnetism.
BTW, pity didn't see it in 2010 World Expo.
як називається мелодія?????
coolllllll
Beautiful, can we please see this without the scrolling frames? It appears as a fault in the rendering. Fabulous work nonetheless.
I'm genuinely confused if this is real or CGI, could someone explain? :S
It's explained in the description: "... a grid array of 1,008 150mm diameter spheres, each suspended and motivated by its own micro winch."
Ahh that's me skipping the description as always!
😎
made in china? haha amazing!
Is that even possible
CHANGE THE SOUNTACK pls
@adrelanize Human beings had to conceive it first, program it, create the microwinches.
Don't count us out yet.
Какое количество не известно но интересно что происходит
yet!!!
Tape " Waiting Time " on TH-cam
I need Morgan Freeman to explain this to me
I didn't trust it either, but there's a "behind the scenes" video at watch?v=DrEUyEHxW2I.
What would happen if I run though them?
Holy shit.
what the fuck is good
muslimin karben would like to see yours
would like to see yours. what that mean?
Eric Nkoana I don't think you understand :P
This is computer animation!
it's not, though, but that was my first assumption, too.
screw gravity
Screensaver, IRL.
chebre
Seriously? actual matter......
Music sounds too much like a Disney land show.
Is this CGI ?
@WindowsSoftwareDe Real
On second thought, I don't believe it at all. If it's computer generated just tell me and I'll appreciate it much more in a different way.
This is a bad copy of the sculpture at the BMW museum!
.... boring screen saver
Fart in the wrong direction... Show over!!!
great automation lame music.
