Using the handbrake then driving away, which releases the brake, this will not damage the gearbox or braking system at all. Also when parking up; handbrake first, this takes any pressure off the gearbox. then P. Great reviews. I am waiting for my dealer to tell me my GT, same colour as your review car, is ready for me to collect. It's been ~6 months since I ordered it.
Found out hat the reason there is no Auto Hold on the hand brake is to do with the stop and go function. When you stop the vehicle, pressing the brake is required as a trigger for the engine stop function, releasing the brake then starts the engine. With auto hold this function can not be triggered.
Hi Dan , I am wondering if you will also make a fuel consumption test drive witn new 2008 hybrid 136hp? It would be very interesting to see real consumption on the new hybrid engine. Thanks
Hi Dan! Danke für das tolle Video. Kannst du mir etwas über das Soundsystem sagen, welches als Standard in der GT-Ausführung verbaut wurde (guter Sound?)? Danke ☺️
remember you can adjust the seat height. I've had mine for about a week and still trying to find my perfect driving position got black paint free and the upgraded tom tom sat nav as i ordered in April for the pre face lift so i lost heated seats and a panoramic sunroof pity they didn't keep the sunroof is my only complaint atm
Activating the parking brake whilst the car is in D will heat up the transmission. Always put the car in N before using the parking brake at prolonged stops.
Does this still have the same engine as the previous one with the wet cambelt which disintegrates and causes the engine to starve of oil, needing a complete engine replacement after just 40k miles? It's a massive shame as i love this design and would easily get one as a company car if they would just change the engine design to a normal dry belt or a cam chain...
I have had this Peugeot 2008 for 3 years with the same engine and I love it, it’s a pretty pretty fast car, on road or highway you can easily go equals or faster than cars with a more powerful engine like Mini Coopers, some BMWs, Mercedes, other SUVs like Mazda CX-30, Toyota Corolla or Yaris Cross, Honda HRV, etc. The design and style always turns heads and as you said in the video, fuel consumption drops after 10k or 11k kilometers and becomes very efficient. It’s really a very nice car and fun to drive
Accidents arent planned they are just that an accident unfortunately things do happen... Noone wants a crash. what miles per gallon does it do and is it affected alot by the mode you drive in??
After the test we had, I found 2008 too jerky on the road, 1.2 Puretech is a great engine but too weak and therefore loud for this car. I would prefer 308 or 208 on any day to this one 😊
I have this car , it looks lovely but the tech inside is god dam awful, mine never remembers the time when you turn the engine on, it’s always out and it doesn’t work on changing settings either. The lane assist constantly locks your wheel left or right to avoid going over the line which is dam scary on the motorway, you turn it off and it’s back on again in half an hour. Lovely drive around town don’t get me wrong but Peugeot need to work on their computer systems before rushing a launch, it doesn’t even have sat nav on the icockpit driver screen anymore ? What gives ?😅
Beautiful car but unfortunately with problems in the engine and electrics. It was my dream. I was stopped by some car mechanics actually the day before I bought it.
@@BrateTebra123no, i have the same car 2022 model and the usage is also 8,../100 And i also don’t drive agressively the usage arround town is just horrible. On the highway its better then in town. This engine really needs mild hybrid, it just uses too much too accelerate.
I drive a Hyundai Bayon, which is a similar size. I'm not very gentle with the gas pedal and achieve an average consumption of 5.5 l/100km. And i always drive in sport mode. Engine is 1.0 l T-GDI 6 speed manual.
I test drove the facelifted model yesterday, and I did drive it pretty hard in Sport Mode and going 170kmh on the Autobahn, I got a combined consumption of 6,4l/100km.
@@andrejkumer4607, you’re comparing a gasoline car with a diesel car and you should know that DIESEL CARS ARE ALWAYS MUCH MORE EFFICIENT IN CONSUMPTION THAT GASOLINE CARS. If you want to compare this car with another, you should do it with a similar type in engine
It should be absolutely forbidden to put so much piano black in a car. I wouldn't be able to own this car, without having to wipe all the piano black surfaces off all the time
@@Mb-pu5zn Good luck wiping all those surfaces off all the time 😂 Why baby wipes, where you can see all the water marks on the black surfaces after? Try I microfiber cloth instead
That Peugeot steering wheel is extremely stupid and I can't understand why they insist with it. That steering wheel obstructs the view of the dash with the speedometer etc.
Nothing stupid about it. It’s easy to adjust your wheel and seat. It’s easy to park with the small steering and great for thrashing into the twisties. I miss my 208 with small steering wheel. Love my Renault but will be going back to Peugeot in a few years. The wife’s 508 is beautiful to drive.
OMG! It looks amazing, as expected with Peugeot - full of allure!
Great car. I bought Gt 1,2 131 HP. Very nice, Okenite white and full optional. Thanks.
Now this is on my bucket list!

Hi! Those camera views (front/rear/360) are from the specific "Vision Pack" optional or included in the GT version?
It's an optional extra, in Germany its 350€.
Should I choose Dacia Duster or Peugeot 2008 ?

There are only a few.
8 litres/100km is a lot for a pretty small car
He must have driven it aggressively. I drive the same engine in 208 and it consumes 6 liters per 100km combined cycle

Lol it is literally the smallest city SUV. You have all these options and many more in the 3008, and yet again in the 5008...

I prefer to run the wheel a lot higher. So I get where you're coming from.

Fuck eco mode 🤣
Standard is the way
Sport mode is the only way 💪
3 cilinders... 😅
Are you aware that this is a small car that weights only about 1100-1200kg (like a VW Polo)
Many cars today have 3 cylinder turbo engines. Nothing unusual.
Yeah and it’s faster and has more power than 4-cylinder engines with larger displacement
