Wonderful way to highlight the many pleasant views that bring joy to my heart every single day, was most fortunate to meet my Darling Wife while serving in the R.A.O.C. Barracks at Didcot during National Service in 1952 / 54, Elizabeth was an Evacuee from London during the Blitz, and the People of Long Wittenham opened their arms and Hearts to accommodate them at Long Wittenham were we met in 1952.
Thank you for sharing your story with us. The residents of Long Wittenham are still as warm hearted and will be pleased to hear of your experiences here. We hope you enjoy the rest of the series.
Once again, a video from Pendon, showing the breathtaking modelling skills you are famous for. The historical connections are wonderfully captured. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Dave. This is the first in a limited series to highlight how The Vale of White Horse has developed over the years. Look out for our next episode in mid May.
In about 1948 (?) we moved into 107 The Causeway. At that time it was three dwellings and about 1952 (?) we were able to convert it to just two dwelling as it is today. Good fun to see this video!
Many thanks for your kind comment Harold. This video is the first episode in a limited series. Further episodes will be published around the middle of each month.
