So you know lemon scent can affect your dogs. My dogs reacted within 30 minutes of being around a natural lemon diffuser I bought. They were acting weird like it gave them neurological problems. I had to call the vet, get them out of the house and air the house out. Lemon isn’t a good scent for puppies. Especially if they are have a history of seizures. A lot of scents even if natural aren’t good for our sweet puppies.
If a small business on Etsy can pull off a phenomenal advent box like this it really shows that these other large companies have no excuse for giving out sample sized trash in theirs! This box was awesome!!! I’m fixing to order one for my daughter, she’s turning 8 in a few days and she loves holiday themed products like that and advent calendar’s
"Dirty Pillows" was what Carrie's religious mother called her breast. That was a big joke in my family for years. This is clearly showing my age. We watched it on TV when I was like 12, I think.
While $90 seems like a lot, it breaks down to $6.92 per day. Which is a pretty good deal considering some days had multiple items. Bath and Body works is more expensive and this box is all handmade.
I completely agree and especially when you consider the vast majority of the items are things you'd spend way more money on, but add the cuteness of it all and you're looking at $10 each for the smaller ones and $15-$20 for the larger more unique ones! 90 bucks divided by 17 items comes to a bit over 5 bucks an item. Seeing that most of those things would be 7-10 bucks on their own, thats a good deal!

We have a local candle maker, and her small tins are 8 bucks a pop. But her candles are so worth it. They smell amazing and actually have a good burn time. $90 for all of that is a great deal.
This is soo freaking cute!!! The attention to detail, the variety. You can tell the person who put that box together reallly loved and believed in these items.
I just finished making my kids Halloween calendar:) They have a chocolate or sweet everyday - then they get a trick - forfeit, eg 10 star jumps, tidy your room etc, or a treat - i have a few bigger little surprises - slime, multi colour pens, pumpkin shaped Halloween hot choc bomb, hair pretties for my daughter, maze games, rubiks cube, multi tool pen for my son. And every day a Halloween themed joke. We're from England so it's just not as big here, although I think not getting there. We love Halloween in this house - its just so fun!
When conditioner says thick it typically means to thicken your hair or it is a thick product. I have never seen a conditioner for thick hair, but it could be and more then likely is thing. This was a fun box.
Advent calendar season has started early!!! YAY!! Bring on the October calendars! That was a fun box, especially if you love candles. It was all really nice. I did like the effort that they went into. It makes it seem worth it. We've seen some real doozies, so this was very nice.
I NEED this box in my life. At least that stick butter. I love stick lotions it's so much easier on me to use. Very accessable to a disable gal like me. Plus SPOOPY! This was a wonderful Advent and I would LOVE to see what other kinds of small business/Etsy hand made advents you can find and for what celebrations and stuff. That would be a cool way to share small businesses! I am going to this Etsy right away.
you definitely start at day 1! if you do count backwards the last number will be on the top of the box. chocolate calendars usually count down to christmas and 25 is at the top
I go from day 1 up because even though typically you’re counting down to Christmas you are traditionally starting 24 days out and it’s much easier to remember to open 1 on the first and 12 on the twelfth than do a reverse order countdown. With a 13 day one though I could see doing a countdown since it’s almost like “sleeps away” type thing.
Palo Santo is the wood you can burn, it’s used just like sage. And used often in more masculine scents but also has a sweetness. Fig is a fruit from a Ficus tree (Moroccan and Mediterranean area).

As soon as I heard "beep beep, Richie" it made me smile so much. And then my 2 year old said it and now I'm the proudest mama in the world. The original IT is the reason I'm scared of clowns, but I love that movie. I'm now bringing my little one into my world of horror movies

When we were kids and had the chocolate advent calendars, we always went backwards like a countdown to Christmas. A lot of the beauty calendars definitely end on 25, but I loved counting down as a kid.

This was such a good box!!! Decent sized products too and honestly for $100-ish getting 13 hand made products from a small business is kind of a good deal tho?? Still less than $10 an item for hand made goods is pretty good!! I’d love this!
What a fantastic box! Everything is on theme, the wrapping paper and labels are beautiful, it was well-packed to prevent breakage, and putting the body wash in a ziploc in case of leakage was just a little bit of extra-thoughtfulness. Some companies (::gives Louboutin the stink-eye::) would have counted the shampoo, conditioner, bookmark, and lip balms (lip blams??) as individual gifts, so it was nice to see that they were paired up rather than split up. Even though I personally wouldn't use a lot of the items (fragrance reactions, alas!), it really was well-curated. Of course, with Halloween being my favorite holiday I'm definitely biased in this box's favor. I'd definitely give it a 10/10, and yes would love to see some more Halloween unboxings in 2024.

Oh girl, I can so empathize with your reactions to the rose scented items. I am also a no rose girl. Unless it’s real rose in a garden, I cannot stand the scent. Great advent box though, in spite of the rose candle :) I would much prefer to give my money to a small, homemade business, than a greedy corporate one. 🎃 Take care~! 😊

the loofah soap is really great i love them. just a warning when you first get to the loofah it will be scratchy but softens after a few washes.

For the car diffuser, if you really like it, you can hang it in your wardrobe hanging pole as a freshener in there.

I know that was a great calendar because I want it! Kind of expensive, but like you said, for handmade items it's pretty good.
