Looks incredible! This particular build reminds of the early days of ILM and how those artists mashed, glued, and painted whatever they could find to create physical props. Creating physical props is an art form and you sir, are a master.

Even knowing that these things are made for like a buck fifty and some spit (ok exaggerated there, but...) It doesn't take away from the immersion when watching the movie. That's the magic of cinema.
Also, it's good that you make everything with disassembly in mind. It means you can keep the bits to mash up in other productions where possible.

Fellow makers, don't forget your automobile junkyards. We have a pair of yards called "Pull and Save" meaning they will charge you three bucks to wander aound their yard, and an additional charge (not much) for whatever treasure/greeblie you take off one of their wrecked cars. They have lots of plastics, hoses, and odd-looking parts to stoke your imiginaion .

Love watching you build Anthony. I know you're a big shapes guy, $20 says you're like me and will be at a thrift store, see something with a cool shape, and but it just because you know you will use it in a build.
Same way with changing a build when two pieces get misaligned and all of a sudden it looks better because of the new profile shape. :) 3d printing has been a very good thing for greebles too.
The practical and in camera effects enhanced with the CGI is the way to go for low budget and can be done well. When I was in high school it was film cameras and video cameras weren't really a common thing. Now in days if you wanted to can you film a short completely on your phone's camera. You can edit it on some free open source software (an add some effects) as well as render it. Just the idea of being able to pull that off on a home computer and a freaking phone would have been a pie in the sky dream back then. Use the tools you have to better your craft. The day you stop learning is the day you stop breathing,

Ohhhh I love it. I love how you take random stuff and make altogether different stuff from those. I'm working that way myself, re-using stuff from tipp shops and scrap yards, hardware stores and recycling places 🙂
I love to look at something and see an entirely unrelated thing in it!
    Love your channel!

I love a fun practical effects shot. Would a bit of smoke in the air have added to the sense of scale for the reactor; or, maybe a slightly lower angle shot?

I recently dug out my old GI Joe 3 3/4" tall O ring figures from the eaŕly to mid 80s. I've added war toys from Click N Play like Abrams M1A1 Tanks, LAV-25 Light Armored Reconnaissance Vehicles, Russian Armored Troop Transports, A-10 Warthog, F105 Starfighters, MIG-21, F-14 Tomcats, SU-25 and F-18 Hornet jets, Little Bird, Black Bird and Pavehawk helicopters, HumVee jeeps, T-80 Tanks, Russian ICBM missle trucks and more all in 1:18 scale to match the GI Joesgĥĥ I have. I also kitbashed a several Joe vehicals and even used parts of figures to make new characters.
All this was to start making stop motion or capture films. At this point I have thousands and thousands of photos that when linked together make a moving movie sceen. I need some help in how to do practical effects for cannon firing, missle launch, fires 🔥, explosions, and such. I would prefer practical effects ideals as adding in didgital lateŕ I just dont love. Do you have any archived videos on this sort of thing?

That's a nuclear reactor. Possibly centuries old and retrofitted into an even older ship. What were they thinking? The neutron degradation of the alloys would make it so fragile. I don't understand why they didn't use a synthetic singularity, those are so much cleaner, easier to maintain and have much more stable power.
After seeing it I immediately had to view William Shatner as Commander Murdock at Lunar Base Alpha Beta and the Red Lights Keep Moving Back And Forth.

Nice to meet you. I see so many decent sci fi flicks that just sucked really badly just in props, like a P4 motherboard glued on a wall, as-is, fior lengthy, up-close scenes by a talking head. I'd have helped for free if I could and was, like, up the street. Not to devalue the trade, I just mean it would have taken so little effort but they can't find the right person at the right time while there's money in the budget, I guess. I did a little prosthetics and stuff, but I make old-fashioned woodwind instruments for a living, and want to make ray-guns on the side for fun.
