I used to wonder why 'Conan the Destroyer' was such a flop as sequel to 'Conan the Barbarian.' Maybe it was because of the James Earl Jones epic villain's absence. He get his head chop off at end of first movie. Thulsa Doom no ordinary villain. Same with Darth Vader, and yet if you just look at these two roll, Jones elevate 'villain' to some sort of anti-hero. I think the 'voice' like 'the force' of Jones. He the epic voice.
