Nice to see Harry Gribbon -- best known as a comedic alumni of Mack Sennett (Keystone and beyond) in a serious movie, even if he may be there for comic relief.
Thank you. 🍕 That was a great silent movie. I’d not seen a Tom Keene (George Duryea) silent film. Lovely actress, sad she didn’t film talkies… wonder what her voice sounded like. 🤔
I didn’t realize Renee Adoree died so young. It seems “The Big Parade” was one of those “Cursed” Films, with her, John Gilbert, and Karl Dane each falling on hard times and dying within a decade.
Tom Keene is VERY handsome man ...besides This being a Good Film 🎥...😮... just my opinion....I didn't see any drunk thrown out of the bar .. being .. Buster Keaton....
I wonder since their lips are moving, if adding dialogue would bring more viewership to these old film reels? If the dialogue doesn't make sense, the lips could be realigned with new dialog that aligns with the story. Controversial, but it may bring more viewership to these oldies.
@@OurladyrulesYes, controversial, as change always is. I would agree that there always should be an "untouched" version. Pity the original Star Wars trilogy before CGI is lost.
Why not get out there and paint the Statue of Liberty to look more realistic while you're at it? Seriously though, if people don't have the patience and level of engagement needed to enjoy a silent movie, let them watch Casablanca and Gunga Din instead.
Thanks! i needed a good silent. thank you PF twas great.
THANK YOU
🍕Thank you 🤠🐴🐄Good old western . First time watching , never knew Tom Keene was in a silent film . Fred Kohler always a great bad guy .
MGM was late into sound, but their late silent films were so good they weathered the transition well.
Enjoyed watching this. Thank you , BT for the pleasant viewing..😊😊
Hi Delores 🍕always happy to hear from you🍕❤️🍕

Complete with the original MGM Orchestra soundtrack. Adoree was only 30 when this was made; sad that illness kept her from working in sound pictures.
Renee Adoree was excellent in this. She was a fine actress.
A really good movie, also well-made.
woohoo Roll that film! 🎬🎥🥂
Amazing.
That's a tough sacrifice he made at the end, but I think he's better off with Renee Adoree than with the horse. He'll get over the loss real quick.
Renée Adorée quelle belle femme

The son seems to have come by his gambling habit honestly, but the Don must have had early onset dementia to have made that bet.
When you come into a lot of money unexpectedly, you should immediately announce it to the world, as a public service for thieves.
