I love the fact that Hannibal lets his interview subjects actually finish their thoughts. Too many interviewers keep interrupting and jump all over their interview subjects. Patience just makes for a better interview.

Agreed! They had a great run from January 1987 with Randy Colley 1st, then February 1987 when Barry Darsow joined through late 1990. Fun fact: Mario Mancini jobbed both times Demolition debuted (Eadie/Colley then Eadie/Darsow).

This was great. These two guys seem like they are truly grateful to be able to wrestle professionally and work with the people they worked with. Very positive while still being honest. No brown-nosing here.

DEMOLITION should be in the WWE Hall Of Fame, It was great when they Won the Tag Team Title's for a 3rd time at Wrestlemania 6. They still have the BEST Entrance Music for a TAG TEAM Ever!!
Bill Eadie (Axe) is part of a class action lawsuit against WWE that's alleging that wrestlers incurred traumatic brain injuries during their tenure and that the company concealed the risks of injur, so I doubt they'll be inducted any time soon.
I got to meet Demolition a few years ago. A childhood dream come true. They were so nice! Wish more in wrestling treated fans as well as Barry and Bill! Good people.
RIP Mr Fuji. You definitely helped mold these guys into legendary superstars!

One of my favorite memories of Barry Darsow as Repo Man was during the early days of Monday Night Raw when he stole the Macho Man's hat. As I recall, it was a green cowboy hat with feathers. He mentions it at about 48:00
Great interview. Definitely my favorite tag team of the 80's. There was just something that drew me to them more than the LOD. Their entrance music was great, I liked the way they kept the masks on until just before the bell and you could tell that they genuinely liked each other. Great couple of gentlemen, their place in the Hall of Fame is long overdue.
Smash seems like a really good dude. My brother and used to put on the demolition make up every Halloween. You guys are will always be my fav tag team. Thanks for all the great memories.

Thank you for this. Demolition and Undertaker are my favorites of all time. I was AX for Halloween in 1990. Looking back it shows that they did their job extremely well. They entertained the daylights out of me. Knowing a little about the men behind the characters just makes them that much more interesting, and make me respect them that much more. Please send them my best wishes, and thank them for the work they've done.

Barry seems like a true down to earth blue collar man. I loved Demolition with Fuji, but seeing his true nature is great.

The out of body experience by Bill was really moving. You can find so many cases of this too. I'm a firm believe that the only thing that dies when ''you'' die, is the thing that you think you are.

I've always been fans of Demolition, especially Bill Eadie (Ax.) Respect both of those legends! Another great interview.
I once had the opportunity to sit down and have a conversation with Bill Eadie and he was just like this, great guy to talk to. I told him that he was a hero of mine as a kid and he seemed to really appreciate the compliment.

I've been watching tag team since about 1959. These two have been my favorite. They had a chemistry that won over the fans like no other. Just pure pros. Magic.

This is a great interview. The glory days of wrestling and listening to different views in shoot interviews is quite fascinating. Nicely done. I would not mind hearing from some of the people like your Barry Horowitz, Brooklyn Brawler, your Al Perez, Dusty Wolfe, etc. Just to hear their angles and takes. Leaping Lanny Poffo always gave a great interview and is enjoyable to listen to.
Good interview but two things I'd like to know is the story behind bringing Crush in/why it happened and the lawsuit they had with WWE over the Demolition name.

Demolition was and is my favorite tag team of all time. Watching these guys growing up in the 80s was mesmerizing.
Demolition, Bad News, Rude, Barbarian, my all time favs....Demolition was epic tag team along Road Warriors and Powers of Pain.

IIRC it was stated they were actually wrestling on an independent show when this interview was taped thus the makeup.

This was awesome…I loved Demolition…they deserve so much more than being road warrior knock offs-the took a gimmick and became their own legend. Big up tonBarry and Eddy-the are one of the great ones for sure-

These guys should be in the WWE Hall of Fame! Even as faces they were bad ass. They were the best of the best and it’s beyond time Vince gives them the recognition they deserve.
I could listen to Bill all day an excellent storyteller, himself and Barry were one hell of a team.

Talk about a repetitive gimmick that worked because the guys behind the face paint were top shelf performers. What more can be said about Masked Superstar / Ax? One of the all time greats. Smash complimented Ax perfectly. The S&M look worked, the ring entrance music was perfect for them. Copycats or not, Demolition took the inspiration and made something else from it that worked great. Nothing but respect for these guys and may they live long and healthy lives.

I remember their 3 way match with Lod and ultimate warrior.. as a kid that blew my mind because they were all my favorite at the time

Billy Crusher, and Axis the Demolisher. One of my favourite childhood wrestlers. Bill is the most versatile and believable wrestlers to ever lace up a pair of wrestling boots. One of the most under rated wrestlers ...but one of the most respected wrestlers in the business. Thank you...Sir for your wonderful contributions to the pro wrestling industry. He was the real deal!!!! Absolute ICON!!!!
Respect to Barry Darsow, (Smash - Of Demolition), Krusher Kruschev, Repo Man, The Blacktop Bully and "Mr. Hole in One". Another Pioneer!!! He was also amazing at all of his gimmicks/ personas as well.

Great interview, good stories. The mask superstar wow, I remember him from my childhood he always hid an object in his mask. These interviews with the greats from the past is better then watching what people call wrestling today. I'm gonna keep watching these, and thanks to Demolition for all the great memories.
