  • Time for a review of the 2038R, 462.3 hours as of this video shoot. It's been a very solid tractor that I've honestly had no complaints about. I have never needed the dealer for warranty work, it has performed flawlessly for almost 2 1/2 years. I will touch briefly on the 220R MSL as well.

    Nice review. I’m glad you’re satisfied with your tractor. I got my 2025R partly based of your review of that tractor. Thanks!

      Thanks Roger, I don't do review videos as well as most, but I'll always keep it honest.

    I would also add to the wish list a right hand fender mounted snail accelerator, like on the 5 series. Very handy.

    Appreciate the honesty. Just purchased the 2032R. Happy with it and the power. Wanted the 38, but none available in my area. Love your area.

      @@ElkCreekAcres Yes they are pat no complaints from me the only thing I had to do is boost my hydraulic pressure up but other than that it’s great Plus I had to buy a gauge to do it but a great video as always

    Yes, absolutely, Pat, it's a glove box not a tool box. I love my 2038R but, JD needs to also have a cab option. I'm moving up to the 3039R for that purpose. I'm tired of eating dust, plus, bees and me, well, an epipen is my friend! Ha! Great review, Pat!

    Nice to see another review! I'm really enjoying mine so far (only about 30 hrs at this point. Your earlier reviews were extremely helpful to me in deciding to get the 2038R, and I have no regrets. It took me a little bit of time to get used to the seat switch, but I guess the same as you, I kind of got used to it, and I don't seem to have any problems with it anymore, other than the occasion where I "thought" I had it in neutral when getting off, just to find out I did not...can't complain when it did its job!

    Been debating on jumping up to the 3046r but I struggle because I love how small yet how powerful my 2038r is. Gonna add some wheel weights to help with traction so that may be all I need to pull my land plane better.
    I bought an EA 72” wide land plane so I am pushing what probably is the max but still seems to do well. Loved watching your review because it gives me more confidence in the 2038r. Solid machine. Thank you.

      Thank you !!
      More weight should definitely help, it did with mine. Nothing wrong with maxing out your power, these Tier4 engines like to be run under a load, as long as you’re not running out of power.

    Always glad to see you back with a new video. I do have to say I totally agree with you on the layout of the controls in the cockpit. By far this is the best layout of all of John Deere compact tractors. The 3000 series could take a good lesson from the large frame twos. Great review keep up the good work.

    Hi Pat, I Always enjoy your honest reviews of your equipment. It has definitely helped me in my decision to get a 2038R. Awhile back you added a radiator screen from a 3 series I believe. Do you still have it in use and has it worked like you anticipated? Also any problems with overheating with that installed?

    • @ElkCreekAcres
      @ElkCreekAcres  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Gary, yes, I still have the screen in place. It works as should, I definitely haven’t as hard a time keeping the radiator clear since putting it in.
