It occurs to me that Yelan, Itto, Shinobu, and Yanfei mirror the elements of the other four fallen Yakshas. Which just adds another layer of heartbreak to Xiao commuting to the sacrifice in order to get them all out of the Chasm’s Bed.
I think at the moment when Xiao decided to sacrifice himself, he was also thinking that it might be the time for him to die since all his "siblings" already died and wanted to meet them. And if he could do one last honorable thing it would be enough for him. 😢😢😢
That’s actually the worse part. I dont think people realise that because he’s a Adepti, he will linger there at the bottom of the Chasm until he dies hundreds of years later, most likely through madness from isolation or the agony from olden gods consumes him. It’s like purgatory down there. Him accepting that fate is just so awful feeling
I would love if they added some sort of time travel feature where we could do quests and meet characters like them, it doesn't seem too far out of the question considering we've technically time-traveled twice so far (once during Perilous Trail compass domain and once during Raiden's second story quest).
