Thats a good resque of a challenger. Good to see they still are out there to be found. Wish I could stumble across one of those myself. I have a bunch of parts for those after a few Mopar projects. Keep on saving them.
I've had a bunch of Mopars since the 70s. The one I have now is very rust free and perfect body. So to the people that save these rusted old souls , my hat is off to you. It's nice they get saved, and I've saved some rare ones through the years. I'm just tired of dealing with that rust LOL. Great to see people saving them though!

Anytime you see a father and son working together on old cars is awesome. My son and I have built a bbc twin turbo s10 street / drag truck . It is great seeing father teaching my his son these videos will be with him to show his kids how awesome thier grandpa is.
Makes me feel sad and pissed off seeing the cars abandoned. I'm glad you rescued the '70 Cuda, the '68 Charger and the '70 Challenger.

man there's some good scores in there!!! a little rough around the edges but certainly hopefully savable. great tune and I wish I could grab a few of those beasts, soon enough I hope to have the right situation for that!!! Talk about being in the Right Place at the Right Time, and it Was Meant to Be, Thank You for Going Back, You can't Restore them All, but you can Find Parts Cars to Save the Savable Ones.

Great job for saving those and even letting some go for parts .. I’m in Nova Scotia Canada and could only dream of finding those .. I’m a big Mopar guy and am looking for something to restore eventually

We just found a 70 challenger today!
It's crazy how much Chargers are now, when I was 17 in 1987 I had the chance to buy a '69 Charger that was black with black interior and black vinyl top for $1500!!!! The car had zero rust and was driven daily by a hs friend. I regret it everyday, but my parents where dead set against a car like that for a first car!!!
I think we had nineteen 68-70 chargers here at the shop, and it doesn’t matter the condition, they are gone within days.....
I had the same thing happen back in 84/5 when I wanted to buy a 72 Barracuda with a 318 from the body shop near me. a little old lady got hit in the door and she wanted $400 for it. this car was immaculate, except for the door, powder blue,white top,blue interior, low mileage and the lady was the first owner! I didn't have enough money so I asked the rents for a little help$$but they shot me down 😢.oh well, ended up with a 73 4 dr Catalina with the 400 instead for my first car. man they were just giving them away back then!!! good times.
1983 I bought my first Charger for $500 - 440 auto R/T .. and it ran great

That's not a '71, that's a '70! I had one and that was the only year that the tail lights ran all the way across.
Nice pull on the Challenger I don't understand why the people who went to the trouble and expense to keep them all those years didn't at least cover them these days I guess I should be happy they exist at all great vid thanks.

It was a rough one yes, but they sell for just over 50 bucks.....
Sink a small fortune to get it back to the way it was, but I guess if money isnt a issue then spend it.
Stay humble partner.
Almost any old car is going to be of value to someone for parts no matter how bad off they are so they're all worth dragging out ! The 68 to 70 Chargers are being restored if they have any thing left at all to start with! Go look at the one Rust bucket resto is doing! His was bad off! Same with the Cuda's and Challengers! Some guys want them bad enough that they will build one from almost nothing!
Damn!! That's a sweet red truck is that a 76 D100 Adventurer sport or what? I use to have one but it was black short box it had a 340 6 pack in it from a 70 AAR cuda I ended up selling it but still have the 340. I put a 410 Stroker in it before I sold it but it was a sweet truck I wish I never sold it but at the time I needed cash and it was the truck or I was going to be living in it but I would love to find another truck like it again
compared to the ferds and chevys you really don't see any old Dodge trucks on the road. even back in the 70/80s I don't remember seeing any around my neck of the woods up in New England either. hopefully you'll find another to put that 340 you have in!!!!!

Was that a 65 Barracuda with the big back window? man what's left of what use to be some sweet cars too bad they were allowed to sink into the ground and allowed to rot that chrysler beside that 68 Charger is a bad ass car too man what a shame

Wish you would have met me in my hey day down here in Mississippi in the 90s,buddy I bought some nice mopars for nothing in good shape, GtXs roadrunners SS 396 chevelles,um talking 200 to 500dollers a peice,some drive home
That stuff is still out there, but the prices changed a little bit. I know where a 396 SS Chevelle is sitting in the bushes. We are trying to get a nice video of it one of these days!
