When damian said " Scholars teach in Universities and claim that they're smart and cunning
Tell them find a cure when we sneeze
And that's when their nose start running " your EYES bro said it ALL! 🔥

This guy is truly Marley’s son. Just like his dad, he has a lot to unload and of course Ana’s as well! I grew up listening to Bob and I still enjoy listening to his music. Most of Bob’s songs were revolutionary songs. Always spoke against the injustice all around the world ⭐️❤️

Love your personality and perspectives and intelligence. When Damian fires the lines about the earth shape changing you explained the scientific explanation of what would happen if the rotation stopped and then he followed with that most of us cant prove what we speak of he caught ya 😊I can quote "facts" explain the development of the scientific theories but definitely can't prove E = MC2, I cant prove the core of the earth is molten and so on. Its a humbling realization to understanding that in three hundred years if development and knowledge is unhindered that much of what we know will be understood in very differently. So cool.

For those who may not be heavily familiar with Damian Marley he's one of the greatest lyricists walking this realm when he decides to get busy, and thats on God.....this guy can go soo deep (pause lol) its crazy
    Understanding patois, he says:
Some of the smartest dummies, cant read the language of Egyptian Mummies (referring to the modern day intellects who parade as if their so great not being able to even decipher the language of ancient civilization who may be deemed more primitive by todays standards - so he's basically being satirical alot in his 1st verse) he wasnt really saying those who wrote hieroglyphics werent smart, he saying us modern day man who ACT as if we're SO smart, cant even read the langauge of ancient ppl).
I could go dayss breaking down lyrics with this guy 😪 but this guy is top 5 lyricist for me period....regardless of genre

The chorus is by two blind singers from Mali, Mamadou and Mariam, those are the people you see in the clouds. They sing the chorus in their local dialect. I'm not Malian, but i know that song. "Sabali! Sabali! Sabali yonkontê (Patience! Patience is worth everything!)
Sabali! Sabali! Sabali kayi (Patience! Patience is worth everything!)".

I think you’re right, but I also think this guys interpretation was also right. That’s the beautiful thing, there’s layers and meaning upon meaning. Damien is def in touch with his heritage and ancestry, and the ancestry of humanity in general. I think he’s certainly speaking to what you expressed, while he’s also speaking on how detached we’ve become from our ancestry, and the deep wisdoms that got us where we are. We’ve become TOO advanced in some ways. Can you milk a cow? How would you survive in an apocalypse? I bet 90% of us would overestimate our abilities in a scenario like that.
So I agree with you! But I think this assessment is also fair and accurate. And everyone sees what they need to in a good song/lyric/story. That’s the ultimate beauty, that it strikes the same feeling in different people for different reasons and delivers many messages at once ❤
