Alright boys and gals, the time has come! From now on we are on the hype train. The new patch 1.09 was released just a few hours ago and it unlocks two iconic Keyblades. You need to have the Proof of Promises (find all the Lucky Emblems) and the Proof of Times Past (beat Critical Mode) in order to respectively reclaim Oathkeeper and Oblivion at the Moogle Shop. I was so curious to see these new Keyblades animations and I'm definitely not disappointed. They really make you feel powerful and those Roxas's attacks on Sora are an amazing touch. - New Action abilities: 0:50 - Oathkeeper showcase: 2:17 - Oblivion showcase: 5:30 I quickly made this video to showcase all of their animations as well as the new Action abilities. Remember, this new patch unlocked these two Keyblades, the Abilities, and updated a few of the cutscenes in game with better lighting, different musics, textures and camera angles. Be prepared for Re Mind and stay away from spoilers!
Everglow, please reply because I really want to know this. Once you unlocked Oblivion on your critical mode savefile, can you also use it on your normal save file or only on the critical save? Because that would mean you could only use Oathkeeper on a normal save, and Oathkeeper+Oblivion on a critical save, but I also want both on my normal save file!
Okay, for Critical Mode of KH3, I'd have to do LOTS of serious EXP Grinding up to Level 99, and even use the Power, Defense, & Magic Boosts on Sora. Plus, I'd have to go with Vitality and Guardian. I hope the Oblivion carries over to New Game+ on Beginner Mode. Defense Setups: Hero's Origin Classic Tone Hunny Spout 2 Cosmic Belt Pluses (for Sora) 6 Cosmic Belts (1 for Sora, 2 for Donald, & 3 for Goofy) 8 Fencer Earrings (3 for Sora & Donald each and 2 for Goofy) [in case if you're wondering why, Fencer & Soldier Earrings have Defender] I already got the Oathkeeper from photographing all the Lucky Emblems, but I'll have to beat the game on Critical Mode on a New Game+ save to get the Proof of Times Past to get the Oblivion.

@@MultiOwyn it's actually a really dumb requirement imo as well. They should of been in the story to begin with. Not behind some tedious tasks. Doing a whole single playthrough shouldn't reward you with just "one keyblade".
They're just like the combo modifiers that we used to have in KH2...heck some attacks like the radial-slash and slide-dash like move are direct incarnations of KH2fms modifiers. Well,the old KH team that now develops ff7R and the osaka team have officially merged since fall 2019. Maybe some more key-staff from the old team helped when making remind?
Oblivion's strength stat is tied with the Ultima Weapon at 13 btw. I think it's magic stat capped at 11. (I don't remember.) Oathkeeper is balanced. It's strength and magic both cap at 12 when its leveled up completely.
Well, Flash Step, Aerial Sweep, & Aerial Dive aren't actually new, but Aerial Dive got modified to be an aerial attack against enemies below Sora. The new moves are Quick Slash, Radial Blast, and Last Charge.
KH will always be my all time favorite series. The music(Yoko is my favorite composer) and the complex storyline is amazing.❤️❤️ I’m done fangirling now lol.

MrShisuto I had the same problem. What I did was I went to twilight town ( but I think you can be in any world) and save the game and then back out to the title screen and then load the same file back up and the proof should come up

Does the Proof of Times Past carry over to other save files? Because I only did Critical just to do it and didn't plan on playing it for post game stuff because I'm a baby when it comes to difficulty settings
I would have liked double form even more, if he had oblivion in the front and oathkeeper at its back(like how ventus holds keyblade). That would have made it even cooler.
Sora’s outfit looks great in double form but what would’ve really blown my mind is if when he entered double form, he got an organization coat in reference to Roxas since double form’s combos are already very Roxas-like.

Right now, I’m cheesing my way through critical mode, just to see what happens. After clearing the dlc episode, a new menu appears unlocking cheat options in the game, just wondering if I can do it and get oblivion. The player gets easy form changes, Moogle shop discounts, the power to kill almost any enemy in one hit, health+mp+focus+situation bar regen, among other things.
I’m lowkey a lil upset that if you have a different save file for a critical mode run, you can’t transfer the Oblivion over to a Standard save file (which I got all the lucky emblems on and made it to level 99) guess I gotta grind all over on my critical mode save file and find all the lucky emblems again to get Oathkeeper on it.
Some one plz tell me the least tedious way to get the keyblades? Im assuming double form is because you have both. I expect i would have one before the other.
The oblivion won't unlock on my Proud save file, because it was made before I finished the Critical difficulty. Kinda lame, I'd have to create a completely new proud save file to get the oblivion on a prpud save, all because of some overlooked problem.

I started up a newgame plus on Critical after I learned about Oblivion being locked behind it though I'm curious, If I beat and get the Proof for Oblivion then switch over to my proud or normal save, will the Proof be unlocked on those too? or would I have to start another newgame plus on a different difficulty and carry over the Keyblades?
As impressive as the two new keyblades are, Ultima Weapon is still technically the strongest Keyblade for multiple reasons, which makes sense because that keyblade is the hardest and most time consuming to get out of all the keyblades. One reason is the fact that Ultima Weapon has the abilities Combo Boost and Air Combo Boost. Another reason is that you only have to go through one formchange in battle with the Ultima Weapon to unleash the final biggest attack, while you have to go through two formchanges with Oathkeeper and Oblivion in battle to unleash the final biggest attack. And another reason is how powerful the Ultima Weapon's Focus Gauge attack is, especially in a huge group of heartless (one attack wipes out all the heartless in one shot, depending on how leveled up Sora is).
Guys I need some help, on my normal play through I got Oathkeeper but on my Critical run I got Oblivion. Is there a way for me to get both keys in my inventory in one save file without doing the lucky emblems on my critical save?
So I'm guessing Oathkeeper is get all of the Treasure Chests? And Oblivion is Critical Mode only, I'm guessing cause on my Proud File I got Oathkeeper and on my Critical File I got Oblivion
Really annoyed that the Proofs don't carry between save files. I prefer Proud Mode (Critical isn't great for just having fun), and was hoping to use Oblivion in Re:Mind, but there's no way I'm finishing my Critical run and then going through the game a _third_ time just for that.
Light Form for Oathkeeper, Dark Form for Oblivion, and Double Form for both, though Sora's Double Form depends on which of the two is in his right hand as he gets the other in his left.
ultima still because it has combo and air combo boost. oblivion has stonger atk then oathkeeper at 13 atk but les magic at 11 and oathkeeper is balanced at 12, 12. same abilities

You can. Ng+ transfers ALL keyblades to a new save file. Cheese critical mode with EZ codes and transfer oblivion via new game +.

Someone explained to me why:
You have to do a ng+ proud save in order to get it on a proud save. That's stupid.
Does anybody know if taking EZ codes (without using them all the time) on a critical run prevents you to get the proof of times past at the end?
i think youll still get them, but not the trophies

No. Get all emblems on your critical save and use ng+ to transfer both to a new save. It's the only way.

So I'm guessing Oathkeeper is get all of the Treasure Chests? And Oblivion is Critical Mode only, I'm guessing cause on my Proud File I got Oathkeeper and on my Critical File I got Oblivion
Really annoyed that the Proofs don't carry between save files. I prefer Proud Mode (Critical isn't great for just having fun), and was hoping to use Oblivion in Re:Mind, but there's no way I'm finishing my Critical run and then going through the game a _third_ time just for that.
A third time? If you haven't done critical mode yet then you'd only have to do it once right?

You have to ng+ a save with oblivion, Ultima weapon and oathkeeper on it in order to get all of them on a single non critical save.save.

You can Double Form with only Oathkeeper

Light Form for Oathkeeper, Dark Form for Oblivion, and Double Form for both, though Sora's Double Form depends on which of the two is in his right hand as he gets the other in his left.
Use EZ codes on critical mode. Ice dragons still suck though.
@@MultiOwyn Actually, even if you use Oblivion and get to Double Form, Sora still holds Oblivion in his left hand and Oathkeeper in his right hand.
Do you need both for Double Form?
Nope.
At least one of the two, actually. But it is worth noting that having both of them and the Ultima Weapon can help breeze through bosses.

You CAN ng+ a completed critical mode save and get oblivion on ANY difficulty though.

ultima still because it has combo and air combo boost. oblivion has stonger atk then oathkeeper at 13 atk but les magic at 11 and oathkeeper is balanced at 12, 12. same abilities
