First day of Spring here in Australia! My husband and I lived in the US for 7 months when we first met and I miss the really distinct seasons we got to see! We don't really experience the four seasons where I live...it's really only one year round...so this makes me nostalgic! Great vid Loz! x
Aw happy Spring Lisa! I relate to this- I grew up in the desert of Southern California- sunny and warm all year long! Now living on the other side of the country, I love getting to experience the seasons!
The GuernseyLiterary and Potatoe Peel Pie Society book is absolutely fabulous! I too have read it several times over the years! A favorite book of mine that I think you would love is called Christy by Catherine Marshall! I have probably read it 6-8 times in my lifetime! A teacher in the early 1900’s ventures into the Great Smoky Mountains of extreme hillbilly Tennessee and her life there. Fascinating story based on loosely true events.
I think it's really smart of you to be working towards getting away from streaming services. It's crazy how little we own and how many things have subscription costs. The sweaters you found are all so pretty! I absolutely adore the cardigan with the embroidery! You always make great theifting finds, thank you for sharing!
Thank you! I did the math recently, and I was mind blown at how much I was spending when half the time my favorites aren't even on streaming services. I've been letting myself get one DVD a week at the thrift store, and it's like going back to the Blockbuster days!
Oooohhh have you read Dear Mrs. Bird? that's the first in the series it's really a good story in the WW2 era. I love all your fall finds and was so happy to see your video pop up.
Your sweaters are wonderful! Each one looks fabulous on you, but I am sucker for scalloped edges and embroidery. What a find! You definitely brought the positive vibes for autumn 🍂.
Great book picks Lauren , especially the Phryne Fisher book. I’ve read all of Kerry Greenwood’s Phryne Fisher books and it’s even more fun reading about my home town of Melbourne in her stories. And don’t get me started on series, it’s definitely one of my favourites. Happy reading.
Oh my goodness what a great haul! My most recent autumnal thrift find is a tool to make apple pie….it peels, slices, and cores apples all in one go! And it’s the prettiest cherry red color too, so I feel like it fits right in with your color palette. Thank you for sharing as always! Can’t wait to see more fall content 😍🎃🍁
The first vintage Laura Ashley cardigan is a ✨DREAM✨. I literally have vintage Laura Ashley sweater saved on my Poshmark for ages 🤭 I’m currently filming my first Autumn video of the year too!! 🍂
@@LaurenJohnson - I’ve had my eye on a few for a while but I seem to only find wool ones that I like and I was scarred for life by the last wool one I bought from vintage Laura Ashley. 😂
Such cute finds! I have also started buying dvds at the thrift stores, it's so frustrating wanting to watch a movie and trying to figure out which streaming service has it😂
Fun! That book about the little Swedish lady who's up to no good sounds hysterical. I love your floral sweaters too!
Wonderful finds, looking forward to your Fall sewing plans

You definitely gave me a little cozy fall feeling.
I also enjoy the Miss Fisher mysteries. Her clothes are amazing! Didn't realize her stories were in book form.
Yes! So much good fashion!

Oh my goodness I used to watch Christy with my mom, but I never thought about there being a book! I’ll have to check that out!

This was so cozy and fun! Loving your finds-can’t wait to see the apartment all decorated for fall!!
Thanks so much dear! Hoping to decorate this week!!
I’m also collecting dvds. You have to remember to check for scratches. It had been so long that I forgot that part.

The Guernsey Literary book is one of my favs. I bet I have read it five times over the years. You just made me want to read it again.
It’s so good!! I hope you get the chance to reread too! 🩷
Got serious anxiety anytime you lifted those glass pumpkins by the stems!
Oh no! I promise they were okay!
What a great hall! I love the second Laura Ashley sweater and the pumpkins from HomeGoods. Do you have any thrift flips planned for the fall?
Thank you so much Shelly! I just reworked a wool skirt that I’ll be posting on Saturday, and I have one other skirt I want to remake as well!
