I live right near the Manhattan boutique. It is a beautiful shop with great people and outstanding fragrances.
No one is talking about this brand. It’s such a great perfume house. People are sleeping on it. I got two perfumes from them: Amalia Gourmand and Manglar. Pricey though. But…both beautiful! Great stores too. I was just at the one in Soho. Beautiful boutique.
You are right about that herbal under base. There is something there.

Emy I was just lucky enough to sample this house at Harrod’s in London. ( Thanks to you!) Wow, what an experience - so beautiful. I am thinking I might pickup Quilombo; it worked well on my skin.

Absolutely love this house. It is available here in Japan-sold in Tokyo. I subscribed to your channel because if this review. Don’t know why other fragrance TH-camrs are sleeping on this house. You are ahead of the curve. I have Xocoatl, Mbucuruyá, and Cactus Azul. I love gourmands so the first 2 are favs of mine. I like that there are different sizes for the fragrances. All mine are 30ml but I would buy the biggest sizes for Xocoatl and Mbucuruyá.

Emy, I am back. I got a sample of "Quilombo", and it is fantastic. For whatever reason, I detect a green note, which I cannot place, but it works so well with the other notes. I am pretty sure this will be my next purchase. It is so unique. I had taken a break from this house, because of the price, but they have roped me in once again.
Nice to see this house get some attention. I purchased their La Cautiva offering last year in their 30ml size which has a nice aesthetic to it. The bottles look nice, very well made and the fragrance is one of my favorite purchases of last year. I really need to check out the rest of the house like you are!

This house sounds very intriguing, and even a little like Scent on Wood's methods, with their spirit infused barrels. I'm going to have a look at this house but realistically, am pretty sure that I cant afford it, so I shall live vicariously through you! Well described video, as usual Emy. 🙂

Emy I have never been so curious to try a house. I love the packaging, the history, the fact that they are not widely known. I was lucky enough to visit Buenos Aires last spring and fell in love! This house speaks to me and I have to try them.

I was just passing by a shop inside the Hauser & Wirth museum in Los Angeles and LOVED the smell so I went in. They had the Alba fragrance there and I want my whole world to smell like it. I took a pic and ordered a sample online today. Can’t wait! Thank you for this video, it was helpful in figuring out if there are any other samples I should try out.

I saw that you picked up cautiva from the discovery pack. I just ordered the 100ml from LuckyScent as I’ve been discovering the note of black currant and vagabond enchanted forest has been sold out everywhere!

Just finished the video and realized you bought the one I did, lol!! I’m also regretting not buying the big size but I’m also telling myself lately that I don’t need 100ml bottles of every fragrance since I have so many. If I go through it fast as the warmer weather approaches, then I’ll definitely get the big bottle next time.

I’m Argentinian. These became crazy expensive over the last few years but they are better priced if you buy them in Buenos Aires
My favourites are actually la cautiva, xoaclt , quilombo , Flores negras and amalia invierno ( now discontinued a gourmand jasmine, the original amalia is still sold )
So they did go through a price spike, I was wondering if they were always this expensive
I really enjoy this house. I have 5 full bottles and several samples. The sample vials are the best I have ever seen as far as packaging. They are good for layering and you are right, definitely not blind buy safe unless you’re daring lol

I like this brand. I blind bought Xocoatl, and although it's 'spicier' than I expected, it's excellent. I've tried a few samples and they were all great, I'm trying not to think about buying them as I like the expensive Muskara Cacao . One of the reasons I like this house is that you're unlikely to meet someone else wearing the same perfume you are!
The 100ml bottles come in wooden boxes, the 30ml come in the usual cardboard. They also have a concentrated oil, 8ml. I like the wooden boxes because they also come with a map. The worst thing about the samples is the top, one leaked when I tightened it too far and the names rubbed off the other samples!
There is something about the DNA of Fueguia that I like. I agree some have a green grassy aroma, Ballena de la pampa especially! But it is still pleasant. Thank you for the comment about La Tierra del Rayo. I like Angel's Share; but the red wine note in La Tierra was a little offputting, however I will sample it.
I agree that we’re unlikely to meet anyone else wearing fragrances from this house which is one of the things that I really like about it 😍
I found these about 6 months ago and can only afford the 1 mil bottles- I get 5 for $50. Well apparently they only carry 5 mil now for 25$ I was pissed at first until I realized I'm getting twice the fragrance! It's a very weird smell but it lasts all day and I get tons of compliments. The lasting affect is so good.

Hello Emy I blind bought a full bottle of Fueguia 1833 La Cautiva back in January. Very pricey 😬 I wanted to like it so much but it gives me a headache 🤕 I tried it 3 different times hoping I’d get used to it but just can’t. Now I have this full bottle and don’t know what to do with it. Lesson learned need to start sampling before making full bottle purchases.
I just bought Rania J's Musc Moschus which has similar notes to La Cautiva. Which do you prefer?

You reviewed it Oct 22, 2021 from a sample. Probably you have a ton of samples like I do and can't remember everything you put your nose on. I'll let you know after I order a sample if they are similar. Always enjoy your reviews and opinions. @@EmysWorldofFragrance

They do woody scents very well. Their fragrances are truly unique. However, perhaps two years ago, they expanded the business, opened shops in New York and massively hiked up the prices. I stopped buying, only because of the price.

Yes, everything from this house is very expensive
