Finally opening up to share Brian’s Thyroid Cancer Journey with you all. Our hope in sharing this is that we can be a resource for anyone else going through Thyroid Cancer who may be feeling alone and confused, as we were when this all began.
This video was filmed the night before his thyroidectomy so we were extremely anxious and nervous, but had been wanting to make a video to document this journey since he was diagnosed 6 months ago. Brian is such an amazing person, wonderful father, and best husband and absolutely does not deserve to have to endure this. Please leave a comment of encouragement below for him!
If you are finding us as someone who has recently been diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer, please reach out to us if you have any questions not answered in the video! This journey is scary and confusing and lonely, but we want to try and change that. Know you are not alone and you will get through this!
Watch Part 2: • THYROID CANCER JOURNEY...
Thank you for all of your love, support, kindness, and prayers as we continue to navigate this life long journey. Love, Katie and Brian

Sending lots of love and prayers for your family! Thank you for sharing your journey! You are so brave! I know that it will help someone! I didn’t have thyroid cancer, but I had Grave’s Disease (overactive thyroid) in high school. I had to have radioactive iodine. I now take a pill every day! My dosage was easy to figure out and has been the same for years now. I hope your husband’s is just as easy! Sending lots of prayers and healing vibes! ❤️🙏🏻❤️

I am so sorry to hear this. My husband has battled kidney cancer and it was definitely scary. It was right before I started vlogging. He had a hernia that required surgery not too long before and with all the scans he had to have a radiologist saw a mass on his kidney and wanted him to go see a urologist. The first doctor said it was nothing. A year or so later my husband started having neck and back pain which has resulted in injections and surgery. Nothing related to his kidneys. I have touched a little on his back in my vlogs. But with all the scans associated with his back another radiologist saw the mass again and sent him go to another urologist. This urologist said it WAS cancer. We are thankful he were recommended to him and he took care of my husbands cancer.

I hope your husband is doing well now! It’s so scary how easily these things can go undetected.

I had to have thyroid surgery when I was 20 has I had a lump on one side, when they did a biopsy it came back as it contained cancer cells mine was found by accident. I went in for surgery and they only removed that side as it showed when they tested it that it hadn’t turned cancer but would have if it was left so I was extremely lucky. So i have half a thyroid still but unfortunately the half that is there now has developed a goitre so my endocrinologist so my thyroid is beginning to stop working according to blood tests
