When I heard this in Ruins of Rin, i just about cried. It brought me back to my Gw1 days. It yanked at my heartstrings to know the charr built their Black Citadel on top of the one place i spent most in Gw1 after the Searing.

They are an interesting species. While they making war is definitely a big part of their culture, they are fantastic and creative engineers, and have a great deal of honor and history. I would not classify them as "kill and destroy everything".
Jup. Most numbers have some feeling of Elder Scrolls. TBH GW2 somehow also feels like it. The feeling that you get distracted by every small thing. Every small detail. And the feeling you wanna explore so much! This music helps very much with it! Jeremy Soule, u sir, should be knighted. TBH, there should be a NPC in GW2 who is made after him.

Love this piece, though it does remind me A LOT of Jeremy's music for Skyrim - the chord sequence, the vocal harmonies, the instrumentation... When I'm playing and this comes on, I basically find myself looking around for a Stormcloak... Not that it's a bad thing - the music in Skyrim and all TES games is totally epic - but it does feel a bit jarring when the music for one game possesses the identity of the music from another... :/
