- In this episode, we pick up with Juvar mid-flower from week 4 - late flower. Javar is learning about the importance of headroom. It looks like the Diablo lights mixed with some bomb-ass Ventana Plant Science has made his flowers stretch a bit taller than anticipated.
We have to keep in mind the importance of balancing the light ratio to get fuller thicker plants with ceiling height. A couple of the ladies got a bit too close to the lights, so Juvar had to raise them a bit more.
Temp, Humidity, VPD, PPFD, NDLI, and DLI (daily light intervals) all play important factors in the success of your grow. Below is a list of Juvar’s DLI from week 1 to the present.

So far the main difference between the flowers under Diablo X is more growth and a slightly darker and richer coloring of the plants. Stick around for the next and final episode where we take a look at the results of this 5 month long experiment!

Explosive growth, so crazy how they are reacting to the light and nutrients. Id like to try using synthetics one of these day. My boy @monarchgarden kills it with DWC and his plant are big like your. I'm a 65 yr. old Veteran. I grow outdoors because I need enough weed to keep my going all year- I take care of both elderly parents and don't have much time or money. EVERY damn year, I get ripped off. Usually 2-3 plants at most but, word has gotten around about my garden. This year both parents are doing poorly and I need to be there constantly with them. Which means I will get ripped off again. So, I need to learn to grow indoor. I'm just very nervous about it because I'm not very good at anything. Plus it's expensive.

Genetics + Experience = results like these. Look at the trichome coverage of these genetics, curling the leaf-blades there's so much coming off the buds. I was lucky enough to get ahold of some called "Chronic", when I was stationed in San Diego in "97". Navy. I just remember a Dank/Pine/ and skunk .
4:44 That some sexy pink right there, and btw just a tip near the last week you can remove mains leaves to juice it up even more, well if you don't use the leaves for transformation.

@@sugarhill9283 my understanding is vpd doesn’t work if your not in a tent & also not good to use for led lights. I believe that’s why he’s using dli instead of vpd . I may not be exactly correct but I think that’s the rule

If you’re spending over 1k on a grow light then you’re are beyond being a hobby grower.
There is good information here it’s geared more towards commercial farms.
People are trying make this process easy.
Growing weed does not require 5k worth of equipment and years of experience. It’s nice to have but not necessary

Can always manage canopy by topping prior to 12/12 or during the first week and it will also slow the stretch(strain dependant of course) a tip: Use potassium silicate and you'll need less support for bud weight as it will make your plants strong as he'll and make them extremely resistant to all types of stresses.

is it true that you can control your stretch to an extent by managing day and night temperatures? I have done this in the past and it seemed to work, but maybe it was just a random outcome
How are you flushing the salt out when you have your netting up? And the plants can't really move? Mine are only 18 inches or right now. I don't plan on doing the nets as this is my first grow ever. I know people who have grown for a good portion of their life and within last couple of years I just started seeing these nets. Your plants look amazing BTW ❤

Any tips on managing humidity if you’re using self-watering pots? My lung room I keep at around 50% humidity using a dehumidifier but even though I’m constantly exhausting air and passively intaking fresh dry air, the sensor in my tent is almost constantly at 63%.
If you would have pumped that room with co2 those flowers would have really bulked in size. Its still not bad for someone who's a beginner. Keep up the great work👍

How Long Does Marijuana Flowering Take?

I have been growing for about a year and some change. My current grow and my last grow, i have been dealing with PM. I cant seem to shake it what so ever and its making me want to throw in the towel if im being honest. I have tried everything. In between i sanitized the hell out of the tent and everything in it. Added another fan, dehumidifier, and i still cant seem to shake it. I know genetics can play a big role in resistance, but i have grown these same genetics without getting it. Whats the next step? Throw out the tent and restart? Idk what to do
Lower your humidity, increase airflow and do a regular IPM spray. I recently ran into it too because my humidity was too high

@@RIIG there’s pest and fungicide spray products that you can use out there. You can also use sulfur. I like to keep a variety of different things just so I’m not constantly using one product

The further growth didn't "Have to take the beating" you could always super crop, bend the tops to meet the lowest point where you can safely create a new canopy. I know it's not the best plan to super crop during flower but it beats having too much light/heat on the colas.
Just my personal opinion, every grower has their own style.
