In the manga there is a character named Sheila in Meteor City, she is friends with the entire Phantom Troupe when they were children. She was also found by Kurapika and his friend shortly before the Kurta clan massacre. This character Sheila is identical to Pariston, the face, hair, anyway. In implied lines, it kind of makes it clear that the person responsible for the massacre of the clan was Pariston!
This arc is one of the reasons Killua got 97,000 favourites in MyAnimeList, the 6th highest of all characters. 2nd most favourited in HxH is Kurapika at 24,000.
I have only tear up back to back like this from one arc to another from very few animes, HxH being one with Meruem and Komugi final and then this chapter. Second would be Gintama which has always masterfully start it's biggest and more emotional arcs with gold comedy to then drop nukes all over the place 😢 Special mention to a Manhwa called "SSS Class Suicide Hunter", that thing is a masterpiece and the second season quite literally had me crying like a baby by the end. 😅
