Adidas just gave up the NHL license that was cheap, they aren't doing the Big 4 ever again probably
Adidas/Reebok was horrible for the NBA and they can't even compete with Nike in football. Adidas lost for Nike the Germany football team after more than 50 years of partnership.
It's more likely NBA will make another contract with Nike or Jordan. Also, Nike is not responsible for the aesthetics of each teams uniforms, especially City Editions.
I’m so glad that my Suns always try and think outside the box instead of just recycling previous city jerseys and just flipping the colors, aside from our 2018-2019(Los Suns)and 2019-2020(El Noche edition Los Suns) jerseys, and it makes me happy. It sucks that Mitchell and Ness owns the rights to all the classic jerseys so we couldn’t fully complete the 95 allstar jerseys but they tried their best to give the fans what they wanted. Just really disappointed with most of the other teams jerseys that show a lack of ideas and just recycling old jerseys…

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the last season of city jerseys as we know them. An extreme amount of repeats, more than we have ever seen before. Makes me think Nike is just limping to the finish line.

Nike is not responsible for designing the uniforms, each team has its own special department. You can blame Nike for releasing City Edition every season but not its aesthetics.
@@Qliphirot the Nike design team works with each team to design each jersey. They are not all independent projects.
@@zubdew only for the Icon and Association editions, which stay for many years the same uniform, but not for the City, Statement and Classic ones that and will change every season.
I thought teams couldn’t use cream colored jerseys anymore because of interference with the on court advertising tech. Love to see them back!

I totally agree on keeping it for 2-3 seasons and more since if you are looking back the retro jerseys they rock those things a period of time which is beneficial to the branding of the team and as well as the players - like kids can remember those players on that team wearing that jersey and having iconic plays or anything that will be written to the books. im a collector too so its kinda bias, but i like that idea.
right? keep em for a couple years and they have plenty of time to design em

The only ones I liked were the Hawks and Suns, however I don't like to judge just by the jersey alone, it's a uniform so the shorts are an extended piece of the jersey and I've seen many times the shorts making the jersey better looking.

@@elreiec1 ehhh, a few teams reused their city editions which I didn’t like (Jazz, Knicks, Pelicans, and I think one more off the top of my head) but yea I mostly agree with that

My beloved champion Celtics. They massacred us!!!! Shame, I've always liked our city edition jerseys, this will be a first where I DON'T. The puke green, uninspired design, alarm clock letters! Strange and such a swing and miss. From a storied franchise, weird to see such an uninspired gross design.
