Tip. So since you play on PS4 when you do attack target instead of holding down circle you can hold L1 and click the top of the d pad and if your pointing it at a Dino your Dino will attack it and if you want it to go in specific spot then look at the place you want them to and hold down the L1 and click the top of the d pad and it’ll show a green circle and your Dino’s will go there same with attacking it’ll show a red circle on the Dino and your Dino will attack it.
Jerboas are a must have when trying to tame a Phoenix on SE. They make specific chirping or barking noises if a sandstorm, lightning storm, or heat event is about to occur. Heat events can sometimes take hours to happen (at least on official) so this little guy can give you plenty of time to prepare before it happens.
I personally keep an archeopteryx on my shoulder because of the parachute function. Also counters the micro raptor What can I say, I love having an army of wyverns with a command tamed dragon leading the charge
Awesome video. Just got a problem with number 1, I understand it's you're opinion it's simply that it's false advertisement. Dimorphodons are brilliant for raid defense. Put them in rooms to defend your base. However, never use a pack against a Rex, Spino or pretty much anything that's big. I know from personal PvP experience, they will shred raiders in seconds but the splash Damage of leveled Dino's will destroy an entire pack very quickly. I remember when my tribe got raided one time they had a few Rex's, so I went into my Storage room which was flooded with Dimorphodons and sent all of them on the Rex. It was about 60 Dimorphodons. Rex killed em all in a few seconds due to splash damage. It sucked. EDIT - just wanted to say I mean no offense, I love your videos
If a person is riding a Dino, the dimos do not attack the dinosaur they go straight for the rider forcing him to awkwardly reverse and circle or dismount to deal with the relentless evil birds, not to mention the fact that when you get knocked out by a fresh spawn having at least 3 good dimos flying with you will save your ass and you will thank me and you will thank borris, aria and Jamal. These will be your highest level and most trusted dimorphodons that save you from the idiot with the club that would have taken your mastercraft gear.
It depends. Maybe a combo of microraptors and dimorphons should work instead. Like knock the rider off with micro then send the dimorphons in to finish the rider.
Otters can carry 5 artifacts (including 5 of the same artifact) should of been in the list just for that fact alone, plus they out cute all the other cuties combined

I liked to go to snow early because I would always tame a decent level direwolf early game as they were very good early tames back at that time. And the sounds they make is just cute. My favorite is the otter. it provides insulation to both the heat and cold and it can harvest fish, slilica pearls, and on rare occasions even black pearls. Also the otter can also attack while on your shoulder its helped me out at times. Also the best part there adorable and can wear hats. The only problem i have with these guys is they only eat fish like the baryonyx but in conclusion pump them full of oxygen, health, and melee damage and you can bring these guys deep sea diving and not have to worry about them dying
I thought the jerboa was a waste. There’s literally nothing it can do on the Island, and you can’t use these shoulder mounts as back packs if it only just adds the weight to them which adds to you. For a scorched earth mount would be a jerboa’s only reasonable use.
Wow Cj I subbed to you about 6 months ago when you had about 200 subs so good to see you with 9k, I have lost interest in ark due to constantly being wiped but your vids never stop to be good
Don't bow down to offline or pve, take a long ass break and start again on a primitive server. It's so much better, you take the game less seriously, you play casually and you care a whole lot less when you get wiped so you easily build your stone house back up

hey, just a tip. I play on console too and I noticed you using the wheel to attack target. There is a much easier way. I use Xbox and I just hold lb and press down on the d-pad. But for you I believe that would be... L1? I don't know the ps4 buttons.... So just hold down L1 and press down on the d-pad while looking at your target. Also you can press X/Square to open a structures inventory quicker. Ex: walking up to a campfire, rather than holding y/triangle and then access inventory, press x/square. This works with the inventory of any animal or structure. Your vids are really helpful, thanks! NOTICE ME
You kind of underplayed the mesopithecus. with their melee leveled up, they actually do quite a bit of damage. you can also equip a riot helmet to them.
My list 1.otter cause it useful to carry to caves and a snow biome 2.mesopiticus they can open wooden doors and throw poop at players that decide to attack you 3. Micro raptor it sooooooo use full for pvp 4.dimorphadon they can be face wreckers in a pack 5.jerboa cause it super cute 6.valture. Bring them into caves And this list is purpose to be on shoulder mount
I really like Ichthyornis and Otter. Ichthyornis is handy because if you put it on hunt and retrieve, and makes it kills a small animal or a fish, it will bring it back, and the killed animal will have a very high chance of giving you prime meat. Helped me so much taming with prime meat and prime fish meat. Otter is so damn powerful if you give it a lot of melee damage as it gives you hyperthermic and hypothermic protection based on it's melee. I have one that lets me stand in the middle of murder snow on Ragnarok with no armor on and little fortitude without dying.
Agreed. It adds a lot of insulation to your character, both hot and cold and it can harvest black pearls occasionally from killing coels. Its not a defensive mount by any means, but its utilities to the player early to mid game are very useful. I personally still have mine solely for the insulation bonus. I cant remember the last time i was ever freezing or overheating
@@ScratRedemption harvesting a couple of black pearls is nothing compared to the amount of black pearls you need also insulation buff is useless if you have ghillie or fur or fortitude
im on a boosted server and got a jerboa called CARNAGE as it had only health and attack put in it making him really strong about 3000 health and 6000 attack
Tame a Dimorphodon and only increase its melee damage. Carry it around on aggressive mode and it will attack any dino that gets too close. It will also warn you of nearby creatures. I carry one while flying my Argentavus and when I attack a target both animals attack at the same time, effectively doubling the DPS, and the Dimorphodon never has to leave my shoulder.
The Otter is both cute and way more useful than a Jerboa. The Vulture is cool because it attacks well, but I think that Icthyornis is more useful overall.
@@aliataya1089 Jerboa is only really useful on Scorched Earth. Otter has more uses when comparing all maps. 1. It is essentially like wearing a 6th peice of fur armor with its insulation buff. This is also nice because it can allow you to chose a stronger type of armor in cold regions and still be warm enough. 2. Can use to carry multiple artifacts 3. It can harvest pearls and black pearls for you.
@@skezeksskybreaker5425 so what you’re saying is that you never upgrade your fortitude stat nobody cares that you can carry artefacts cuz if you’re on a Dino you can make it carry one if you have another shoulder mount you can put it on that shoulder mount also you’re better off getting an anglerfish to get silica pearls and don’t even think about black pearls with an otter also if you have artefacts on you and you’re in pvp and you get ambushed you lose your artefacts so just put them in your base also every time you die you’ll have to tame/breed otters so upping your fortitude is better
@@aliataya1089 Fortitude helps you from being knocked out as easily but is almost as useless as pumping crafting skill on your character. (except mind wiping to craft the best percentage item and then mind wipe back) I still say that the Otter is objectively better than Jerboas. There are no sandstorms in other maps. There is a dust storm on Rag NE Highlands but it isn't so devastating. A dimorph and vulture is better to have in all situations if you want a shoulder attacker.

@@aliataya1089 really you must have never had one. You wear them and they give you a huge insulation bounce to the point where you can get frost wyvern eggs naked without getting cold. You literally don’t have to worry about the temperature ever. And as a added bonus if you go down from a troodon it will kill it before it kills you. Seems pretty useful to me.
@@ninjagizzmo6698 first of all and doesn’t give you that much thermal insulation second of all if you go down by a troodon then you’re not good at ark also if you increase your fortitude you have better hyperthermal and hypo thermal insulation and you have better torpor resistance and you’ll be more immune to swamp fever so fortitude is better and even archaeopteryx is better because you can glide whenever you want and you can use them as bait while an otter can’t be used as bait and the only good things about otters are cuteness and they give you fur when you kill them
I use to use dimorphadon for base defense and raiding to wipe out other dinos I got a swarm of them I honestly would increase health a bit and attack speed if the game will allow it but I've had a pack of 50 decimate a huge base full of dinos. The larger dinos didn't stand a chance since do many of them literally lifted them off the ground.
No Archaeopteryx?!? They are AMAZING you have them in your shoulder (ish) and can glide without taking any damage and has no stamina so it is infinite gliding.
I was trying to tame a dimorphodon at night time. Regretted that after a raptor killed my tame right when it stood up because I had tamed. And it broke all of my armor.
I have a question I have been hunting and residing in a beach area in ARK and the beach was heavily populated by Triceratops, Carbonemys, Dilos, Moschops, Parasaurs, you get the deal common stuff As I play longer and hunt and build a better base and taming 28 Dinosaurs The Area I live in doesn’t even have a dodo in it I have to travel to the other area and in the Forest But why did they disappear? I don’t use console commands and I’m playing on mobile lol
Pego logic:steals your mejo berries then feels bad for doing so. as such he becomes your friend to steal from other players. Also i love vultures on SE as they not only preserve meat but this ability counters SE global 50% increased spoil timers
It's a given that you'll tame an icthyornis. It's ability to hunt and retrieve pegos is not only useful in yielding prime meat (e.g: for a speedy dilo tame) but also provides sweet sweet revenge!

you need to play aberration, the bulbdog spots 150 lvls, and is a lantern in your shoulder

And this list is purpose to be on shoulder mount

I really like Ichthyornis and Otter. Ichthyornis is handy because if you put it on hunt and retrieve, and makes it kills a small animal or a fish, it will bring it back, and the killed animal will have a very high chance of giving you prime meat. Helped me so much taming with prime meat and prime fish meat.
Otter is so damn powerful if you give it a lot of melee damage as it gives you hyperthermic and hypothermic protection based on it's melee. I have one that lets me stand in the middle of murder snow on Ragnarok with no armor on and little fortitude without dying.

Agreed. It adds a lot of insulation to your character, both hot and cold and it can harvest black pearls occasionally from killing coels. Its not a defensive mount by any means, but its utilities to the player early to mid game are very useful. I personally still have mine solely for the insulation bonus. I cant remember the last time i was ever freezing or overheating
@@ScratRedemption harvesting a couple of black pearls is nothing compared to the amount of black pearls you need also insulation buff is useless if you have ghillie or fur or fortitude

im on a boosted server and got a jerboa called CARNAGE as it had only health and attack put in it making him really strong about 3000 health and 6000 attack
Tame a Dimorphodon and only increase its melee damage. Carry it around on aggressive mode and it will attack any dino that gets too close. It will also warn you of nearby creatures.
I carry one while flying my Argentavus and when I attack a target both animals attack at the same time, effectively doubling the DPS, and the Dimorphodon never has to leave my shoulder.
I'm getting a PS4 next year I can't wait 😊

I like how the mesopithecus is on the best shoulder dinos but also on the worst dinos to tame
The Otter is both cute and way more useful than a Jerboa. The Vulture is cool because it attacks well, but I think that Icthyornis is more useful overall.
Jerboa is more useful then otters cuz jerboa has unique abilities no one else has but otter has the same ability as a lot of Dinos but worse
@@aliataya1089 Jerboa is only really useful on Scorched Earth. Otter has more uses when comparing all maps.
1. It is essentially like wearing a 6th peice of fur armor with its insulation buff. This is also nice because it can allow you to chose a stronger type of armor in cold regions and still be warm enough.
2. Can use to carry multiple artifacts
3. It can harvest pearls and black pearls for you.
@@skezeksskybreaker5425 so what you’re saying is that you never upgrade your fortitude stat nobody cares that you can carry artefacts cuz if you’re on a Dino you can make it carry one if you have another shoulder mount you can put it on that shoulder mount also you’re better off getting an anglerfish to get silica pearls and don’t even think about black pearls with an otter also if you have artefacts on you and you’re in pvp and you get ambushed you lose your artefacts so just put them in your base also every time you die you’ll have to tame/breed otters so upping your fortitude is better

@@aliataya1089 Fortitude helps you from being knocked out as easily but is almost as useless as pumping crafting skill on your character. (except mind wiping to craft the best percentage item and then mind wipe back)
I still say that the Otter is objectively better than Jerboas. There are no sandstorms in other maps. There is a dust storm on Rag NE Highlands but it isn't so devastating.
A dimorph and vulture is better to have in all situations if you want a shoulder attacker.
You are so contradicting in about her vid you said the small monkey was one of the worst creatures in ark but in this one you say it's helpfull
Some tips do more resurch and find better information because it's very confusing when you have a positive view and then critasis it in about her saying it's one of the worst creatures in ark

@@aliataya1089 really you must have never had one. You wear them and they give you a huge insulation bounce to the point where you can get frost wyvern eggs naked without getting cold. You literally don’t have to worry about the temperature ever. And as a added bonus if you go down from a troodon it will kill it before it kills you. Seems pretty useful to me.
@@ninjagizzmo6698 first of all and doesn’t give you that much thermal insulation second of all if you go down by a troodon then you’re not good at ark also if you increase your fortitude you have better hyperthermal and hypo thermal insulation and you have better torpor resistance and you’ll be more immune to swamp fever so fortitude is better and even archaeopteryx is better because you can glide whenever you want and you can use them as bait while an otter can’t be used as bait and the only good things about otters are cuteness and they give you fur when you kill them

I use to use dimorphadon for base defense and raiding to wipe out other dinos I got a swarm of them I honestly would increase health a bit and attack speed if the game will allow it but I've had a pack of 50 decimate a huge base full of dinos. The larger dinos didn't stand a chance since do many of them literally lifted them off the ground.
Ichthyornis is awesome. Perfect for otter taming. Jerboa is utterly useless.

Hey idk if you already know this now but you can use R1 and up on the D Pad and it attacks targets or they move to the spot if you miss the dino

I was trying to tame a dimorphodon at night time. Regretted that after a raptor killed my tame right when it stood up because I had tamed. And it broke all of my armor.

I have been hunting and residing in a beach area in ARK and the beach was heavily populated by Triceratops, Carbonemys, Dilos, Moschops, Parasaurs, you get the deal common stuff
As I play longer and hunt and build a better base and taming 28 Dinosaurs
The Area I live in doesn’t even have a dodo in it
I have to travel to the other area and in the Forest
But why did they disappear?
I don’t use console commands and I’m playing on mobile lol

you can actually pick up the mesophiticus with a pternodon and tame it cause he doesn't run.
Pego logic:steals your mejo berries then feels bad for doing so. as such he becomes your friend to steal from other players. Also i love vultures on SE as they not only preserve meat but this ability counters SE global 50% increased spoil timers

My only gripe with the dimorphidon is it get stuck in mid air and doesn’t follow. I had to build a ramps to get it back.
You should be able to turn off harvesting to keep it from getting overloaded with meat and hide.

@@Blah2000Blah if you want pearls get an anglerfish they will get you thousands of silica if you want hypothermia and hyperthermia protection then get fortitude and fortitude also helps you not catch swamp fever also scuba suit pants help with hypothermia and for the artefacts if you are going to do a boss then put it in your Dinos inventory
