Hey Dawn, I’m so glad your back 😊 what a beautiful whimsical flower painting. I must say your style of painting is exactly what I love doing ! When I found on TH-cam back sometime ago I changed my whole outlook on my paintings and I feel much better about them. Thanks for a wonderful tutorial and again I’m so stoked your back ! Looking forward to your next one ❤🎨
Hey Tamy!👋👋👋 I'm so happy to have time to dive back into these and I'm glad you enjoy them and find them useful for you.😘 More are on the way! Tha ks for watching and waiting for me to get back!💜💜💜💜
So very cool and relatively easy for a beginner. I appreciate all of the different tips you suggest as well as permission to be whimsical and paint outside the lines.
Hello Dawn, I want to thank you for showing me a cool way to put a black border around my art instead of the usual straight boring black lines. Your way is definitely more creative and truly makes the painting stand out, and look more unique. I'm glad your channel popped up in my feed. I have subscribed, too.
Just discovered this art style and your channel. I am more of a crafter and scrapbooker but if I painted this would most likely be my style. Your tutorial seems quite easy to follow and I will be giving it a try. Thank you for making it seem so easy for someone like me who is not a painter 🥰
Thanks so much! My whole goal is to make watercolor (or at least my style of watercolor) accessible to people who haven't done it before. Would love to hear how you do if you give it a try!💜💜💜
Hi, Dawn! ❤️ It’s so interesting how we can find similarities in different forms of art. You know I’m a stitcher and I do art journaling. Art journaling is completely compatible with what you do, of course. Those could be awesome focal points in an art journal page, but stitching is quite different, right? Maybe not 😊. I was here slow stitching and watching your video and thinking how much of what you say and teach applies to stitching: not expecting perfection, not worrying with wonky lines, not stressing about colours not getting exactly how we planned, etc. Even the meditative state you talked about is so so similar to slow stitching. When I started, I tried to be perfect (my mother taught me how to stitch, but thank God she never expected me to be perfect), because I watched TH-cam videos in which artists stitched so perfectly. Not that I’m criticizing that, but it’s simply not my style, and many times people feel so pressured to be perfect that they don’t even try any kind of art. So I believe we all have a lot to learn with each other, in spite of our different art works. I certainly learn a lot from you. I confess that I don’t know if I’m going to try this, because I have many stitching and art journaling projects, but I will surely watch all the videos you upload in the future, because you’re such an inspiration to all of us who may doubt our skills. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing the next video 💙💜❤️💚🖤💛💗♥️🧡
Thank you Alexandra! 😘 And you are absolutely right with thinking that arts carry over into each other. I love the calming & meditative place I go making my art, but it's not limited to painting. I think ANY creative expression has that potential. And I think that's what makes creative expression so valuable to our wellbeing - in whatever form a prrson choses to do it. There is beauty in imperfection as well - in fact, I think imperfection has more personality!😁Thanks for watching, friend!💜💜💜
Yay! 🎉🎉 I'm so glad! I've got about 30 videos on the channel with the sole point of helping spark people's creativity and help with the technical how-to part. I'm glad something was useful to you. Thanks for watching!💜💜💜
