    My favorite Giant!! OJ

To be fair, Anderson was not the same player in 1986 that he was in 1979-1983 where he was arguably one of the top 3 or 4 players at the VERY crowded running back position. He swallowed his ego, changed his running style and swallowed his ego and became one of.the best short yard specialists of that era.
But man, I remember his game in 1979 when he was a rookie, he was unbelievable to watch. He had power and agility, almost becoming the perfect hybrid of Earl Campbell and Waltet Payton. He was wonderful to behold.

He was a wonder to behold, I watched every Cardinal game of the ‘79 season.

Thanks! I listened to the Giants on shortwave (in and out, it was comedic) and reading Stars and Stripes while I was at sea the whole season in the Pacific and the week I got out of the Navy, the Giants were in the Superbowl. Being back home, watching that uppercut @14:27 is a fun memory in my life. Go Giants! Otis looks good, God bless.

As a St Louis Cardinals Football fan, OJ Anderson was my guy! I even loved the clips of him running over Cardinals. His was such a stand up guy that was everything right about football: the passion, the teammate, the love for the game. I modeled my game after his, how many kids like me wanted to be OJ Anderson? One of the all time greats, thank you OK for what you brought to the game!

The most underrated back. I am a Dollar fan. And i remember it was always Dallas against Ottis. Great vision, fast, can cut, strong and big! He was a menace to play. Always.

Kinda funny that the 1990 season was my first season as a major giants fan, and its still my fave season of all time. What a magical yr. We literally lost our starting QB deep into the season and didn't miss a beat with our Backup Hostetler. Thats how u know that giants team was a literal all around TEAM

I am a life long Giant's fan .... In OJ's early years he was on the other side of the ball and a true star in the NFL. I could not believe it when he came to the Giants. His performance against Buffalo in that SB was EPIIIIIIC!!!!

As a Washington fan I always wondered why they didn't run with Otis more. He was built like an NFC East prototype RB. I was surprised to hear him say he didnt like to get hit.
I always thought of him as bruiser more so than a cruiser.
They don't make these types of players anymore and the style of play is long gone.

  • @zig9880

Man the way players treated the game and how they acted is lights yrs more admirable then players from today imo.

At 9:12, Ottis’ memory is off by one year. Super Bowl XXIII (Montana to Taylor for the win) took place in Miami on 1-22-89, after the 1988 season, then Super Bowl XXIV (Niners destroy Denver) took place in New Orleans on 1-28-90, after the 1989 season. The one that he remembers correctly, of course, is Super Bowl XXV (Wide Right), which took place in Tampa on 1-27-91, after the 1990 season.

The Giants chose Phil Simms over OJ Anderson in 1979, but they both eventually became Giants and won two Super Bowls together.

Love OJ! Love Da Hoss! Great story. Beat a superior Bills team, the best Bills team ever. Gosh how I miss the ol’ GMEN. This organization definitely doesn’t build them like they used to.

Barkkey should look at OJ's game film. Otis had those big legs and always kept his legs moving. Barkley should learn to do this as well.

BRADY ANDERSON TOM BRADY RICH GANNON LEGEND OF ZELDA
DOUG THE INSURANCE AGENT SCHMIDT and DOUG WICKENHEISER the 1st overall pick who never fulfilled his potential I suppose, no offense intended to him, but the DOUG WICKENHEISER and the WATER TOWER beside the ARENA is a huge divination memory from my childhood this lifetime.
OTIS ANDERSON is how his name is spelled for real. I know for sure.
HAYLEY WICKENHEISER is a death doctor of eugenics who makes $$$$ and %%%%% off of your BLOOD CLOTTED HEARTS AND ARTERIES. She is that kind of a muffin. I am confident as muffin (most capable as Olympian this lifetime but betrayed).
OKAY, CLEAN WATER ACROSS NORTH AMERICA is the message!!
RESCUE PEOPLE FROM BEING ABDUCTED & SOLD IS THE MESSAGE!!!
WICKS 22 feeds on RAPED & MURDERED CHILDREN is her only move, drive hard to the net with not much of any moves.
    HOF sured.
