@IFarmWeFarm one thing about putting videos up is you learn quickly what your doing wrong but that's a good thing.. yea they are way better than any mic I had before expensive but really good

Hi, I cannot be exactly sure from what I could see in the video but I think that you are connecting the wire incorrectly with the egg shaped insulators which is leading to fence failure. How? You would seem to be using the wire in a manner that it is trying to pull the insulator apart when under tension and any movement of the wire soon saws (cuts) or tears through the thinnest part the plastic insulator. What is needed is that the two loops of wire (one being the wire around the post and one being the fence line wire) are pulling TOWARDS one another with the main body of the insulator keeping them apart rather than trying to tear the insulator apart. The best and correct usage is to first fix the wire and insulator to the post before fixing the line wire to the insulator. To manage this pass the wire through a hole in the insulator and bend the wire back on itself as tight as reasonably possible and fix both ends very securely to the post. Then twist the wire as close as possible to the insulator with it critically positioned on the inside of this loop for at least one whole revolution. The end result will look a bit like a peach with the stone in the centre (insulator) held in place by the wire as the skin on a peach. I do this by inserting a screwdriver in a wire hole as pulling firmly as possible whilst twisting the insulation. (If you step back and look at it it appears a little bit like a cherry (insulator) growing on a stalk (twisted wire) attached to the branch (wooden post.) Then using the tail of the line wire insert an adequate length through the unused hole in the insulator and wind it tightly around the line wire as close as possible to the insulator. Cut any unused line wire not used and disposed of safely. Note. If you are trying to fix multiple wires (T junction, X roads etc) to one post at the same height it is possible but really difficult to try to do more than two using one securing wire. instead of using fencing eggs put insulation tube around the strainers and hammer in a staple wont let you down ..
