I got this monitor recently and I haven't had any issues that you were getting. It was mainly for gaming I didn't mind the colors. I got it for $200 which I would say is pretty good for 1440p monitor.
Watching this on my Sceptre E275B-QPN168, which I've initiated a return on. I've ordered an LG 1440p monitor with similar specs, and as soon as it arrives I'll send this thing back. I'm actually okay with it as a display, but there's an annoying and persistent BUZZING sound, like an old fluorescent tube light. The brighter the image, the worse the buzzing. Forget turning on HDR.
I appreciate the review though I have had a very different experience with this monitor. My color representation has been spot on. I did a calibration right out of the box and needed very little adjustment. For photo editing it was spot on. I see what you mean about the task bar but that only happens if the monitor is set low. If it is at eye level I can see the pinned task no problem.
Thanks for the feedback! I use all my monitors at around the same height and this is the first time I've seen this taskbar issue on any monitor. It was enough for me to send it back but if it doesn't bother you then no need to worry about it 👌
@@notanothertechreviewer Yup I get that. I have mine on a mount up a little higher than the stand would be so I can see that bar. I can see why not being able to see it would be an issue. As for the color I also get how that can change someone's opinion based on use. For gaming some people want a little less saturation but higher contrast and as a photographer I want less contrast and warmer tones tend to be closer to accurate colors. But yeah if it doesnt work for you it doesnt work, no forcing it.
I have this monitor and the angle I view it from I never noticed the line issue til just now, as for the colors, I never realized it was so off, but for some reason all my setting colors in the monitor osd are blacked out, it also has a weird issue when opening games or random stuff where the screen will turn off and come back, as if I unplugged the cord and plugged it back in, it's weird and I can't fix it, definitely looking for an upgrade
I have an LG ultrawide with the same issue on the taskbar but it never bothered me at all. I only have file explorer and edge pinned and I know whether I opened them or not, so that's probably why it doesn't bother me.
price is currently $160 so i upgraded from asus rog strix 1660 super to asus rog strix rx 6700 xt oc. for the last 2 years i have been using 2x hp vh240a panels. they are 1080p, 23.8", 5ms, 73% srbg ips panels. id like to stay around 500 total for both panels if possible. i could replace one and the second later, or do both at the same time later. ive heard mixing panels with different refresh rate causes gpu to lock it at the lower one and that mixing resolutions is a bad idea. typically i use one panel for gaming, one panel for other stuff, browsing, business, etc. to me, they are decent, apart from the speakers which is pretty low at max volume. with the upgrade in gpu, what should i be looking for realistically? a 1080p with better response time and better refresh circa 75 mhz, 100 mhz, 120 mhz, 144hz? a 2k with 75/100/120/144?
Here's another alternative just purchased today. It's Cooler Master GM32-FQ 32 inch 165hz monitor. I paid $300 total for it that includes sales tax. The monitor I'm purchasing looks really good on the reviews.

Thanks for your answer. Do you have the configuration or color profile that you used to calibrate it? Thank you
any chance you have a color profile for the monitor??
Does it come with display port cables or HDMI cables for the monitor.
this really should get more views and likes, keep it going buddy
Thank you!
@@notanothertechreviewer can you do a review on Cooler Master GM32-FQ monitor?. I bet it will be better than this monitor, not as many flaws.
The lines not being visible under the icons on the tadkbar is such a weird issue to have! I hope you decided to send it back.
