Thanks for posting this video. These ones are very hard to get a glimpse of because they almost always float in the middle of the water far away from humans! They usually come in town in NY during the winter - I saw 100’s today but was impossible to take any good pictures. 😩 But it was delightful to see them congregate together and float around for what seemed like 10-15 minutes before taking off.
I just spotted a male and female pair of these birds at the river where I live in Virginia! Very gorgeous birds! They are definitely timid, as I was easily a hundred or more feet away, tried to take a photo and they flew right off!

We have a pair behind work in fort edward NY! Never seen them here before! So beautiful! Trying to get close to take picture so hard to do!
