I think there's 5 versions of Bill Watterson, I got this one video recommended from 2007, from this thing called Imagination Summit with him playing the song. However, it does sound similar to the live show version (mostly because I think both use the same keyboard) except for the timing of some of the lyrics.

I think I like this version better than the original! I've always kinda seen this song as part of a musical because of it's great visuals, and the less crunchy tone to this version really compliments that!

i tested, this version is 158 bpm and the original is 145 bpm, bound to happen with live performances
the original does go up to 156 bpm at the end, and the song generally fluctuates the tempo, but 158 and 145 are the primary bpms

In a way, I feel like this version is more aggressive-psychotic whereas the 'studio' version is more creepy-pyschotic. I'm not sure that makes sense.
