OMG are u 4 real?? Jack Whitehall is about as funny as a really well educated Queen's English DAD JOKE! He isn't a bit fkn funny, and his "charming" Dad is Creepy AF... Posh asshole. It baffles me why whitney wanted him on her show.. Why not have Russell Brand on?? He is VERY FUNNY!
Jack is correct, less is more. Look at Craig Ferguson, I'm willing to bet he would have stayed on the show longer if the shows were once a week rather than every day.
God, that was the weirdest take on Anthony Bourdain. I've watched so many of his shows and I would say he had more of a humbled appreciation for the people and the food and wanted to be more in the background while his observations took centre stage. Just because someone isn't flailing their arms maniacally and over talking everyone doesn't mean he didn't appreciate his experiences 🤦🏻♀
eh...I don't know. I currently live in Puerto Rico and I remember when his episode on Puerto Rico came out, and most of us were disappointed with his reaction to everything. and I remember saying that a lot of it is the fault of whoever booked the places he was going to visit (they were very touristy) and not authentic to the culture, but still, he seemed unimpressed, and bored, and it was just disappointing to us on the island. But when Andrew Zimmern came he went to the places where the locals go, ate everything! always had a smile on his face, and there's just nothing better than to see an outsider thoroughly enjoy their time in your home.
Sadly he wasn't a well individual and that's just how some people react, we won't understand it. He seemed like a lovely man but one who had demons, I miss him dearly.
No way I used to watch a bunch of UK panel shows and always loved seeing Jack, admittedly that's all I know him for but it's enough to know this will be a good episode
There's no such thing that some diseases you can "catch", but not all. It's not that complex! If you can't "catch" cancer, diabetes, MS, arthritis, etc., from other people, then you can't "catch" colds, flu and Boogey Viruses. So governments around the world are CAUSING fear frights in everyone based on an unproven THEORY by one man, Louis Pastaur, who redacted his claim of the germ theory on his death bed, yet no one listened. So of course, when everyone is allowed to escape the hostage situation the governments have put their people into, and they start relaxing about the Boogey Virus, that's not in any way transmissible, they will begin their healing phase (get sick), and believe they then have it, and more panic will ensue as well as martial law. The longer people allow this government to hold them hostage in their homes, the more severe the "sickness" will be. Can anyone put 2 and 2 together to figure out what I'm saying?? Western Medicine is pure fraud, and people's lives are destroyed because of it. There's no critical thinking anymore. People think they're educated because they've memorized the lies they've been told for 100 years.
@@AgendaInMind It's hilarious that you say there's no critical thinking anymore when you don't even know the difference between genetic diseases and viruses. Louis Pastaur did not "redact" germ theory on his death bed, that's just a straight up lie. Pastaur's experiments has also been replicated several times with the same result. You anti-vaxers are the ones panicking and being frightened. You think the government is putting people in "hostage situations" while everyone else is just chilling.
I love how Whitney always brings up a possibility for her to get canceled so we think she is an edgy comic and what not but in reality she calculates her moves so well that it coud never happen.Didn't she throw her very own friend under the bus when he was about to get canceled and ran away from Roseanne almost pretending she was never involved with that show? On a side note, she's done a great job in this episode

Such a good comment. I watched her on Wendy Williams and she really knows how to lean into the woke white woman schtick but on podcasts acts like she's so edgy and uncensored. She's very savvy, just not the most genuine of comedic personalities.

I don't really get Whitney's point on Bourdain. I've been watching a lot of Parts Unknown and even though the dude had a very "fuck life you only live once" mentality he still enjoyed the places he traveled to and the food he ate while exploring the politics and culture of the regions he visited. He was unfiltered about his beliefs and seemed to be respected by locals, chefs, and regular people alike. I love him because he doesn't put on this very American fake positive energy bullshit act. Yet he eats and enjoys everything from your street food and fast food chains to your Michelin starred fancy cuisine while connecting with people. 🤷♂️ Maybe I'm just a biased fan but I feel like we're also just attributing negative energy to a show now cause of the circumstances of Bourdain's death even though he was and is a genuinely entertaining person to watch travel to new places to try different foods.
I saw a comment on here saying she might have seen the Italy one which he didn't seem to like because there was like a lack of authenticity? But idk haven't seen it
Her review of Bourdain's Parts Unknown is so off base I wonder if she only ever watched the Italy episode where he saw they'd faked everything for him. Bourdain was always interested in the everyday people and meals he found across his travels. That was precisely the draw - no airs about him, delighted to dive into the culture and history.
What, totally does not sound like Bourdain who actually promoted to go and find the local and authentic stuff instead of the burger joint. Maybe sometimes he might have sounded a bit down due to having hangover and he did have a person organizing everything, so he might sometimes maybe disliked places due to mismanagement. Like that one time where they kind of tried to catch a real squid and had to use one bought at the store, because there were no squids that day and he refused to pretend on camera that the squid was caught by him. I think he was all about authenticity, but in his own way.
Whitney I'm Irish (real Irish born and bred living near Dublin). I can confirm we don't have reptilian snakes however I do have some snake ex friends. Also we do have snakes in Dublin Zoo just not roaming around in the wild 😂😂

Anyhoo love jack Whitehall.🇫🇴🇬🇧
I love Whitney but yeah, I totally disagree. I don't think she meant anything by it at all, though. I think she just figured, particularly since the world's been on fire the past 2 years, that people want to be able to shut their brains off. But I'm with you and I love comedy that makes me think as well as laugh my ass off 😁.

There was something existential about Bourdain's show; it was the experience, the drink, the food, and the unique humans preparing that food.
Can we get a petition to get Jack on Tigerbelly
Jack's come a long way. Is he our new comedy ambassador to the US? 🇬🇧
