Mr. Manslottir wants you to check out Roads to Power for CK3, coming out September 24th! play.crusaderkings.com/HeyCara - and thank you to Paradox for sponsoring this video 😇😇

This seems like a better way to do the Varangian Adventures than what was introduced in Northern Lords it never made sense to me why you would conquer a bunch of land give it up in order to move somewhere else while this nomadic camp way makes more sense until you get to where you actually want to settle.
@@WintersMinionI always interpreted it as the ruling class and their armies just left the area in chaos and set up house elsewhere which makes sense to me at least.
@@razier5299 The problem is it’s not normally the rulers that pack up and leave abandoning what they already control it’s normally will be like the people that aren’t inheriting not the ones actually in charge.
Wow. I've had CK3 in my Steam library for a while now, but it was only this last weekend that I decided it was time to sit down and try a real play-through to finally learn how it works. Somehow I had no idea that only a couple of days later, they'd be dropping a whole new DLC with a bunch of new stuff to learn. I feel silly about the timing of it all, but also I'm excited to get my hands on the new content. I've only got a few hours in the game so far, but I'm hooked.
@@HeyCara guess they want battles to be more realistic in the sense that now it doesn't take dozens of fights to wear your enemy down but only a couple.
Really hope some mods come along and rectify the balance issues at some point, but I seriously can't wait to get adventuring. This DLC looks so absolutely peak 🙌
I totally forgot admin governments was part of this mod as well. Everyone, me included, seems just excited for landless adventurers. I haven't even seen any admin gov gameplay (except for here where you still start out as an adventurer).
I watched a video from 6 months ago to today and was really happy to see how easy it is to hear you over music. I appreciate the sound balance for those who struggle ❤
Varangians have always been this strong lol. I play Norse a lot and you can easily defeat anyone anywhere as a Norse count, you can easily stack wipe armies 4-5 times your size when you got the advantage.
Yes, it's all fun and games until you get stack wiped by equally sized Arab army and you find out they had Mubarizun in there. 😂Heavy infantry that counters heavy infantry? Why not.
@@taqial-faris6421 In PvP, yes. In PvE? Nope, thats not gonna happen if you're playing a martial character properly. Ive been playing a Norse mercenary with varangians only in the east and I beat the 6k Abbasid army with 1500 varangians plus 19 knights.
@@ReneSc4r3crow Depends how many of the 6k were MAA. In my case it was like 2x my MAA + I absolutely ignored all the other battle modifiers as I usually do because of how OP varangians are otherwise. 😅 So I ended up being like, so this just happened.
@@taqial-faris6421 lol I thought u mentioned equally sized arab army... And I never said I ignore battle modifiers, you never really read my answers and is just barking mubarizun will wipe a varangian army. They wont if you`re playing a competent Martial character and dont pick stupid battles. Thats how I conquered Spain, Arabia, Jerusalem, Outremer and keep winning against them with varangian main army. Also, varangians arent the only OP cultural units in this game, there are many others, I was just answering to Caras commenting on the video she didnt know varangians were so OP.
I played landless for 50 years starting in the 800’s and had a similar army with over 8000 men. It’s so broken, you can easily take on armies of 15000 men and stack wipe them with minimal loses
I made a landless adventurer with martial, and prowess in the high 30s, and I decided build all the buildings giving me extra men-at-arms regiment size and regiment slots, giving me something like 3k or more Varangian Veterans, all with zero upkeep.
I'm really glad they are releasing this one, I have been waiting for the landless mechanics for years. Now, if only life gave me a little break so that I could actually have time to play, that would be great.
On the upper floor of Hagia Sophia, there is a viking inscription engraved in marble that reads "Halvdan was here". A Varangian guard probably wrote it there. ✍🏻
Just started watching your videos. They're really cool and funny, and you have a very nice soothing voice to listen to, good luck with your warcriming 😊
No, they haven't buffed advantage, Varangians and Huskarls were always overpowered. It's not about the advantage, it's about their raw base damage compared to mere levies. And of course, Varangians being able to counter heavy cavallery is huge against Byzantine armies.
Question: What do you need to be a surgeon in the middle ages? Answer: A steady hand and a sharp blade. Question: What do you need to be a barber. Answer: A steady hand and a sharp blade.
I feel conflicted about this...I love Byzantium and the landless stuff looks fun, but some of the stuff that I've always found the least appealing about CK3 specifically is how powerful vikings are and how powerful individual super-warriors are in general. And this is doubling down on that for all the cool stuff it's also doing, I guess.
damn, really should have left that kid in the woods :P some kid just lives his life having a good time. gets mowglid into going to the human world then dies.
Wait can you still send your kids to the byzantine Empire aka get the Varangian trait when using the norse dynasty thing while being the emperor yourself?
7:10 Honestly, every time I played this game, I would look around to see how the rest of the world is faring, and I almost ALWAYS see the Eastern Romans in constant civil war.
This dlc make EVRYTHING too easy.. I just took from the muslim jerusalem with 1400 men, destroying a 10 k army in one go. No survivor after the fight. Also a random muslim adventurer took the french kingdom. i wasn't a varangian veteran when i got jerusalem for insane stats, just a normal knight from brittany. Evrything fine.. 😂

This actually looks like such a fun way to play CK3
"lets play a new game mode," instant death! I'm sold, I can't wait for the challenge and dynacism of landless play.
I started as a landless adventurer and follow the mini tutorial.... i died in the mini tutorial
how you two managed to lose?.. This dlc make evrything easier.
the landless joke in the beginning was funny. it makes the game more relatable in a way then absolutely dominate and take over everything
Landless playthrough feels like dlc specifically made for me and it makes me so damn happy

Landless makes me feel like bannerlord. Awesome feeling to build an empire from this. Everyone should try it. So much fun.
They did buff advantage in this patch lol. It buffs damage by 10x for every point when it used to be 2.
thats so much, what
@@HeyCara guess they want battles to be more realistic in the sense that now it doesn't take dozens of fights to wear your enemy down but only a couple.
I thought damage was buffed by +2% for every 1 advantage, and that changed to +10% with the update
Holy shit, seriously?
While they did buff advantage I think it's just a case of Varangian Veterans being OP here. She stackwiped a bunch of armies even when disadvantaged.

You’re sponsored this video?! That’s awesome!!!
DLC same day as my Birthday I can’t wait downloading now!:)
Alexios is watching you from Elysium with all the Greek heroes and approves.
Paradox sponcon! Finally they've noticed!
I'd love to see it take actual time in normal gameplay to move rally points and muster forces the same way we move camps as landless.
Holy moly, what did that kid do to Gods to inquire their wrath so much?!
Imagine the adventure of going from peasant to Roman Emperor. (: Good choice!
Ahhhh the OSRS music!! 😍
Congrats on the sponsor!

Unfortunately this DLC drops at 1AM on the 25th in my time zone so I won't even get to play it until I've sleep'd
