I'll admit...I was watching this thinking that no end result could be worth the sheer amount of cutting and sanding (and more sanding) and that it should surely be easier to just build a new set of draws. But I clearly don't have the vision that you have, it turned out absolutely stunning, definitely worth all your hard work!

You're insanely talented. This is the only kind of flip video I want to watch - where the flip actually improves the piece. No one could blame you if you cut corners but you don't. All that sanding and cutting! It is really elevating the flip to a work of art. Thanks for sharing.

The texture from using the interior of the plywood as the face of the herringbone is beyond gorgeous
Sometimes a mid-century piece is not worth restoring to it’s original state. A piece like that is very lucky to be found by you and made into something even better than it ever was. 👍🏼👍🏼❤️

Это прекрасная работа! Работа с деревом в принципе представляется мне чем-то очень интересным и приятным, но вот так давать вторую жизнь старым вещам - это очень здорово (потому что даже просто на процесс смотреть приятно). Хотя подозреваю, что сделать такой комод с нуля было бы чуть проще.
Добра вам и вдохновения!
Тоже считаю,что в данном случае проще сделать новую вещь.Если бы он просто отшлифовал и покрасил,то это другое дело.

Crikey! I thought this was never going to end! The work you put in!!! And I was a little sceptical... But I have to say, this is one of my favourite pieces so far! Just stunning. But, the last one was gorgeous, the one before that was amazing, and the prior one was fantastic... Seriously, your attention to detail is mind boggling! Lovely work. Even if it takes hours and you covert a $5 cabinet into a $500 cabinet in sheer dedication to your craft! What's the most expensive you've sold and what was the best before and after cost conversion (cheapest piece of furniture that sold for the most)?
This is stunning! This makeover has made me realise I need to be more thorough in the prep rather than just getting a finished product!

I wasn't sure I was going to like all the plies of wood showing, but after it was all sealed up and shellac applied, I have to say, I really like the effect. I really am just astonished!
