Hi Angie! Loved your reaction. This is how I would recommend doing the rest of her discography: 1. Born To Die deluxe tracks (Without You, Lolita, Lucky Ones) 2. Paradise EP + extra tracks (Burning Desire, Young & Beautiful) 3. Ultraviolence (incl. deluxe tracks) 4. Honeymoon 5. Lust For Life 6. Norman Fucking Rockwell! 7. Chemtrails Over the Country Club 8. Blue Banisters 9. Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd From Honeymoon onwards have no extra editions or deluxe versions, just one versions of the album. Can't wait to watch your journey through her discography!
The Born To Die Paradise Edition is just and edition of Born To Die that includes the EP that she dropped later that year. So the Paradise EP is the second project she dropped, but before, you should react to the three bonus track of Born To Die (the Deluxe version of the album).
Loved the reaction! So interesting how right after the first listen to Born To Die you said that she was a force from the beginning and so captivating. So many felt that way. Her sound was so entirely different for that time and really paved a new way of music for many artists after her. The sad thing is, because it was so different, the media tore it and her apart for it. They just couldn’t wrap their heads around this style and bashed her no end. It look them a long time to come around. Those who got it right away are fans of hers to this day, and I loved that you immediately shared that feeling!
I would recommend reading over the lyrics while listening or after especially for the albums after BTD. Because she is also a very amazing poet and amazing songwriter and the songs may seem happy sometimes but actually be really depressing lyrically lol. Just a tip for the future.
Im way late, but the lyrical writing is like, next level on her further albums. Especially her newest album, which is super slow but the lyrics are just insane. It cements her as one of the best songwriters in history lol.
the way you told us about that this album showing the imagery of drinking coke in a glass bottle in hot summer. talking about the photoshoot for this album cover, there's some photos of her drinking coke in a glass bottle with a spiral straw in front of a vintage car, very iconic!!
In British English, we pronounce vitamin the same way Lana does in Radio, including me as a Pakistani who grew up in English schools, we do pronounce it that way normally😂 Love the reaction, you’re so pretty girl!❤️🫶🏼
also you'll hear a lot of lana fans act like her music from this era is not as good as her newer stuff but imo they're crazy. this album is a classic that hold up to this day and her newer stuff is not better or worse, it's just different. i feel like what album you like best is going to heavily depend on what you already listen to or prefer. like BTD is hip hop influenced baroque pop, UV more alternative rock influenced, honeymoon more jazzy and cinematic, LFL a mix of sounds, NFR psychedelic surf rock, chemtrails more simple folk/country vibes, etc. enjoy the journey and try not to let comments or popular opinion influence your listening experience. you're beautiful btw!
yas i love watching people go through their lana journey
