I loved the introduction they had at the beginning. In my opinion its almost as if they are staring at directly in Cube's face and saying "hey look we made it on our own". It was oddly satisfying seeing that and you can see it from their expressions to. Despite having a new name they are still the same old group I am a fan of. One of the few groups to have survived the kpop group apocalypse thats been happening recently. Model group for sure.

You probably heard of Shinhwa right? They debuted under SM Entertainment. When their contract renewals were up SM wanted all to renew except 1 member. So no one of the group did renew. They left SM because SM wanted them to leave a member behind. They after that had gone under another agency but had to fight to keep their name Shinhwa and fortunately they have kept it eversince (I wish Beast would've kept theirs too tho but I like Highlight as their name too lol). Shinhwa are also the first kpop group to form their own company after they all finished their military service. They are not the most known group internationally but they are MONSTERS in Korea and EVER kpop idol respects them. They've been together WITHOUT loosing any member (I'm still sad about Hyunseung but happy the others are still tgt) since 1998. Their motto is "We'll continute until one of us dies or we get old". That's a bond. Ahjussis slaying up to this day. I have HIGH HOPES for Highlight to be like them. They are going to the same direction of staying tgt and being loyal to each other.

+Matthew The tigger Ikr all members did say NO because they wanted to be tgt. SM wanted them to continue as 5 without Dongwan, wanted Dongwan to leave the group. The other 5 did not renew eventho SM wanted them because SM didn't want Dongwan. 5 ppl leaving SM because they love each other. I seriously don't know why SM wanted to leave 1 out. I can't imagine them if they renew it. They'd be under SM but 1 member would not be there. Oh my heart.
@@lalalulu8014 i wished they still kept the name Beast...Cube isn't using that name anyway LOL they just wanted to fuck Beast over tbh. Hyunseung was my bias and I really felt it when he drifted away from the rest but I can't say much about his personal behaviour. But looking back now, it was smart of them to not even bother fighting for the name Beast. It's not the name that makes the group, it's the group that makes the name. And the loser in all of this is truly Cube. I just wish Hyunseung would leave too. He was promised a solo career but in the end there was nothing in store for him...Cube really played him like that.

naiomy _ he was really worried about whether or not people would like the album, a few days ago he posted something on his ig about how he was worrying and hoping it would go away. When this song was released, we debuted #5 on melon (which considered the most relevant chart) so the fans thought "ah its not bad:)", but hours later the song started rising on the charts and eventually they almost got an all kill except on mnet chart (the irony). On debut showcase day (same day as the album release) it was obvious that he seemed a bit.. distressed he looked like he lacked some sleep, the next morning the members woke up to the song still charted #1 on melon so they were like "???????????? HOW", and he right away did a v live with dujun looking all bright and happy and thankful :'))))

they released this during my last semester of college when I was struggling so much/depressed/barely could get anything done, but I remember this era bringing so much comfort and so many smiles to my face despite all that :)
We actually have a pretty similar story. I only got into HIGHLIGHT, like, two months ago, which was a bit late to the game. I was going through a rough time with depression and burnout, but watching HIGHLIGHT brought a smile back to my face. It felt like having some really cool friends, especially since I don't have many close friends. They taught me the true value of friendship.

after watching lee gi kwang on kcon2021 interviewing mamamoo i start searching him and first i thought his just a solo artist and after watching more of his videos i found out his from this group and 2 of the members is also familiar to me i saw them lot of kdramas i watched

I miss Highlight with my bias Junhyung, I haven't keep on tabs with Highlight ever since Junhyung left, now that he is back, I am supporting his Loner album, the music he produces is a bop as always.
I've been a B2uty for almost 6 years and I can proudly say that this is their best comeback. I can feel the joyful and unrestrained feeling during this comeback. They give us a reason to continue to support them. Their decision to give up what they've worked for at Cube for 7 years just to start all over with a new name under their new agency is just admirable. And that's how I know I stan the right group.
