Tropical Storm Eta: 7 a.m. Monday advisory

Tropical Storm Eta continues to bring significant flooding to South Florida although it has moved into the Gulf of Mexico. As of 7 a.m. Monday, Eta was about 55 miles west-northwest of Dry Tortugas and about 80 miles west-northwest of Key West with maximum sustained winds at 65 mph.

SoFlo here in pompano beach and it wasn't very different from a regular storm. A bit more windy but nothing crazy. I think I saw ONE tree leaf down and my community lake is a bit higher. But I left everything on my balcony and Not one thing blew over. I have all the beach toys and some 4 tall stacking shelves and an outdoor closet thing for my outdoor stuff. Nothing shook or fell or moved and there isn't any flooding in my community. Pretty basic storm here 🤷‍♀️ I never saw any lightning either

Mona S, we've had saturating rains for weeks. Now with this, from south Miami kendall to pompano bch there are flooded lakes and canals crossing streets and yards, many houses filled with filthy brackish water. Br glad you didn't get this this time.
