  • This tutorial shows how to make an opening curtain animation in After Effects. The optional "Opening Curtain" template will save time and has extra features. Only $10 at creationeffects.com/opening-c....
    Template description:
This 3D theater with opening and closing curtain animation has no pre-rendered elements - it’s made entirely in After Effects so it’s completely customizable. Easily insert your text or graphics, and display it on the curtain, or behind the curtain on the stage.

Thanks so much for this. Learning AE is so much more relaxing with the voice of Steve Buscemi.

Wow I'm learning AE and am past the learning curve of knowing my way around it. This tutorial pushed me at the end and I almost stopped at fractal noise effect thinking it wouldn't make that much difference since it looked really good already, but I pushed my self on and I am so glad I did. What an extra special touch it made. This tutorial was very helpful.Thank you.

They keyframe smoothening is the most awesome discovery since I use AE.

thank you. very useful. for the "softening" of the keyframes it is worth to try to select the keyframe and select one of the ease options at the bottom of the graph tool. thanks

You know, I love things like this. I'm trying to get a project off today and I needed animated opening curtains. I haven't got the time to build so just purchased from your site. Looking forward to using it in my little series coming up. Thank you.

Tutorial still works as of today, thanks, although I wished there was more on how to flip it and add 2 curtains.
