Dazai's feats are mostly basic and simple, sometimes illogical, have a low probability of success when analyzed, are less complex and less calculated, and most prominent is his ridiculous prediction ability. That, and there are many, many plot holes in his plans. People appreciate Dazai because the scale of his intelligence is wide but the way it is written is not smart at all. In terms of logic or difficulty to come up with, Dazai's plans are just on par or lower than characters in the Battle Shounen series when they come up with strategies to initiate or resolve battles, nothing more. The ridiculousness of dazai's intellectual writing style is shown right in the first chapters when he forcefully describes Ranpo's unreasonable and unconvincing reasoning, or his stupid plan with Chuuya. when he tries to figure out who wants to put a bounty on Astushi, this is really silly.
