Before making his own stuff he made mostly phonk with doomshop and other figures like soudiere and NxxxxxS and phonk is a genre that pretty heavily emphasizes the music and vibes, more so than the vocals. Because he was learning to mix in those years he probably just got into the habit of making his vocals a few decibels lower. It's also probably why most of the time, his lyrics are just generic violent stuff without any real meaning or message and his voice is distorted.
