Thailand have had a nature conservation law since 1946, one of the first country and we are trying our best to return these beautiful animals to the wild. Edwin is definitely an important voice but certainly not the only!

May favorite episode by far. Being a Animal behaviorist, it is so easy to see the changes in their behavior once they have been captured from the wildlife trade. I believe they are thankful for being rescued, the food and the love. Such a moving episode.
I almost started crying, I visited the rescue center some months ago while I was on my Christmas holiday. I loved it there it was beautiful. It was the first time I touched an elephant. And I saw the exact same animals shown in the videos. This makes me so happy.
I’ve seen so many neglected zoos here in Thailand and it breaks my heart every time I visit them. Most often its dehydrated sun bears or traumatized elephants.. The wildlife friends foundation is doing an amazing job for these animals.
This is so sad. The fact that they need a wildlife sanctuary, that but is heart breaking. I know everyone there is doing there best. But what made me the saddest, was seeing one of the elephants swaying. This is a sign of stress, or lack of space and stimulation. But, this sanctuary is MUCH better than working for an elephant. I admire Chris, and all the people who made/make this organization possible.💕
You know, I love this show but always had reservations since it is a show but after watching this and seeing how they are trying to make people aware of these horrific acts of cruelty and neglect has really added 100% more respect from me. Thanks to all vets, wildlife experts and anyone willing to sacrifice their time for helping these animals. It's sad seeing the animals in cages, but when you have a very shy dog that wants nothing more than to lie down and sleep and you finally get him to get up and play is so beautiful.
Edwin rocks. He is not only a passionate and caring man but he is also a wise man. His point about keeping your cool and not showing anger when trying to convince someone to treat an animal better or release it to the rescuers is spot on; As much as you'd like to yell at the jerk, it won't help the animal being mistreated.
