“You’re a nice kid, but you suck.”
Why do I feel like he was talking to the director of the video game and they just used it anyway? 😂
in gta5, if you shoot nowhere behind a construction worker with earphones, he wont move
Wait, really?
@@CaptainEggcellent yes bro, i saw your vid on L4D2, and i decided to try it in GTA
(it worked for me at least)
*anywhere
If you shoot nowhere, you're not actually shooting
@@CrankyMoogle anywhere but the guy, though your point still stands
Neet
In My summer car, at some point a drunk man who needs a drive home talks about winning the lottery and hiding the money, if you find say money and spend it on anything, He'll appear in your house to attack you, Beat him up and spend some time, you'll find him, hanging around the bridge, A bit macabre but maybe a fun detail/easter egg.
i cant believe your story, its macabre
I know how it sounds. Sadly it is true
@@gamesgo6724nah it’s true. Maybe you should look it up instead of just chalking it up to being cap 😂😂🤦🏽♂️
Insert Payday 2 music here
I don’t know if you’ve covered this already but dogmeat in fallout 4 does tippy taps after you ask him to find supplies for you thus proving that he is the goodest boy in the nuclear wasteland of Boston.
In GTA4, when driving with Phil Bell in the car, if you drive slowly, he will commend you on it and say things like "The cops won't be looking for a slow driver!"
A lot of the characters speed preferences like packie will make fun of you for driving slow but Dwayne (i think) says it's chill its a cool detail
Im so glad you finally found the gta 4 detail with the gps, I commented on it a while ago
From what I've heard, there is a detail in GTA Online. There's these things called stash houses and after you break into one, you have to break into a safe and retrieve it's contents. Well if you go to enter the code on the safe but don't enter the code and go afk, your character will stare at the camera as if they're telling you to hurry up.
Proof?
@@Nomad958 Search up gta character looks at camera, should be one of the first images
In the demolition man game you showed, one of the clips he says "looks like you're the first action hero" which I believe is likely a reference to The Last Action Hero movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger. loved that movie as a kid still do
Wouldn't surprise me. Sly did make a cameo in the movie after all. In that universe he is The Terminator.
I love that film too. The ripper used to terrify me as a kid haha
@@CaptainEggcellent same here, had nightmares about him haha
*"Fahrt?! Did you say fahrt?"* Is just legendary Oscar worthy acting
In RoboCop Rogue City, after you meet the Old Man at the top of a condemned building in Downtowm Detroit you must return to the streets, you can go down the stairs or you can jump of the building without a scratch, the OCP personal will comment about it.
Fun fact, the bing bong sounds are from the sound doors make right before they close in nyc trains… 1:20
In Dying Light 2 Biomarker actually Work, if you use binocular and zoomed at NPC Biomarker it show green and if that NPC getting Infected the Biomarker is turning Red
In Volgarr the Viking, the beginning of the first level pays homage to one of its inspirations, Rastan, by sharing a similar layout of the first level in that game.
2:14 just for the TH-cam regulations he meant a chicken tower!
In Hogwarts Legacy you can find chests in random places even during side quests. During the “In The Shadow Of Time” quest, you can move a platform over to a ledge to find a chest. Once you open it, Sebastian will mention how interesting it is to find a chest in an ironic spot
You could check out Paleo Pines.
I saw at least one LotR reference pretty early on in the game, but who knows what i missed since i didn't catch any obvious ones in the rest of the game.
In sea of thieves, if you stand idle the game Will call you a lazybeard
In GTA IV. Along the lines of the clocktower. At the gentlemens club is a poster with the headline COUNTS.
Guess which letter is printed red and is hard to see at night when the red outside lamps illuminate the boulevard. Also the Geta Life Bank building. Nice name.
Vampyre Survivors has several cool enemies which are references to obscure bits of English Folklore. Personally, The All-Colours Sam is a pretty niche reference.
I found another overused videogame easter egg. Again, it's in Palworld. I haven't caught up with all your videos yet so I don't know if you know about this one. I found an NPC labeled: Mercenary With a Wounded Knee. They are located closest to the Sea Breeze Archipelago Castaway Beach fast travel point.
Already covered :)
@@CaptainEggcellent Awesome.
Horizon Forbidden West : when Alloy gets up high or windy or on Turtlenecks, she pushes against the wind.
When climbing a mountain or a high tower, it’s subtle but really cool she does it.
The fact that this man has this much games is crazy
I saw this in another video, but they actually reference the real mythology of Zagreus in the first Hades. In Hades, Dionysus suggests you pull a prank on Orpheus by telling him you and Dionysus are the same person. That is apparently based on real mythology because Zagreus died and was reborn as Dionysus.
The gta4 navigator voice happen a few times for me, but never managed to let my friend listen🤣. Speaking of gta4 there are a few reference in the trophys name, i remember the trophy manhunt, this is oblivius as reference, and assassin's greed
In Serious sam 3 (jewel of the nile dlc), you can swim to another island on the first mission and find a cannon that can be lit to trigger a hidden cutscene.
Another RE6 detail - not only do you constantly see the places other characters go to when playing a different campaign (for example Sherry/Jake can see the bridge Chris/Pierce run across, and from the bridge you can see the houses you run through as Sherry/Jake), but their dialogue also changes based on the situation and their current relationship. This is most notable when sneaking or during the part of Chris' campaign where he becomes super angry.
Your partners also get annoyed at you if you keep calling them, which a lot of people did in RE5!
I love the game trackmania. Although it's a very small detail, I love that if the car flips over (it's called turtling in the TM community) that a small bar pops out to protect the driver.
Don't know if this is in other games or has been covered. But in Crysis 2 + 3, possibly 1 as well. If you reload a gun that uses bullets when the mag isn't empty, the gun will have a full mag plus one in the chamber. This is also reflected in the ammo indicator.
That's fairly standard in most shooters; Battlefield has done it since Bad Company, Resident Evil has done it since Re4R. The fact it's present in _Crysis_ is somewhat negated by the fact a lot of the guns themselves aren't animated correctly (for instance, the way you reload the AKs would break the magazine or the gun and would also result in the magazine falling out).
In Dragon Age: Origins, when traveling between areas, there is a random chance to witness the arrival of a very super man. The chance is kinda low though.
You can also get the chance to pull an axe from a stump, with dialogue referencing Monty Python.
In mw2 (the older one) after the nuke went off all of the red dot sights/scopes stoped working. I dont know if you've already covered it in some of your older videos and i dont know if anyone else has mentioned it. Also in metro Exodus one of the characters does the "i hate sand" thing Anakin does during the desert portion of the game, if you haven't covered that one yet either.
Palworld does have proper weapon etiquette even when running or standing still
Another thing that ensured the 3DO's swift demise is the console itself was crazy expensive - when it came out, it cost $700, which is the equivalent to over $1,500 today. By comparison, the PS1 was only $300 at launch, which is about $650 today so still not super cheap but comparable to what modern consoles cost at launch.
In the mw remastered games campaigns, your friends will actually tell you where the enemy is, like in a kitchen, in a restaurant, or even in an alley, there will actually be someone there till you end them
They'll do that in _Black Ops_ as well and your character will even respond.
Woods: Tango down!
Mason: Can confirm!
The 3DO was my first console and I had a blast with. Need for Speed and Gex first released on it.
In Sifu (A game by Sloclap), you can unlock a Focus Attack called "Calbot." (A Focus Attack is an attack that costs "focus" from the blue bar on the bottom left of the screen.) To unlock the attack, you must defeat a mini-boss that holds a staff in the game's 3rd stage titled "The Museum." After defeating the mini-boss, you must inspect a mask where the mini-boss was. After inspecting it, the mask will be added to your detective board. The mask is titled "Strange Mask." Afterward, you must open your skill tree and unlock "Calbot" at the bottom. "Calbot" is a reference to SloClap's previous game, "Absolver." When using the move, you give the enemy a light slap on the back of the head. It also brings your score multiplier up by 1.
2:43
I have never seen this detail with only one uniformed swine... it's usually three of them, sometimes two standing around the man.
in gta IV, in the lil' jacob mission where you get your first weapon you can actually see nico grab the weapon when jacob give you the weapon
In the Saints Row reboot, if you go to Tacos R Us next to Ringers in Rojas Desert South there will be a reference to an old meme on the sign
In the game LumbearJack, on level 18, you can find a reference to Pulp Fiction.
The 3d0 was sold for 700 at release, thats like 1500 now when adjusted for inflation. The playstation cost like less than half of it
idk if anyone has said this already, but that sound thats being made in gta 4's gps is the real life sound of the nyc subway doors closing
Not really an easter egg but a bug, but in Batman: Arkham Knight, after you beat Riddler, you can go back to the orphanage and scan the riddle on the floor (the one that you have to scan to see Catwoman the second time,) and Riddler will chime in and stay on the projector until you leave the orphanage.
My Summer Car has a endless list of terrible fates, including getting run over by a train, drowning in sewage and getting stung by wasps/bees.
*New Years Eve drinking game!* Drink a shot every time CaptainEggcelent starts with "Did you Know?"😂
Finally, you reviewed my summer car and the one of the most ridiculous ways of dying. There is another way to die in my summer car.
At the end of mission “Big in Japan” in Cyberpunk2077
When you rescue the neurosurgeon and ask for his story he will quote a Line from The Office
In Xdefiant, if you go into the firing range and melee the two mini screen at the back of spawn, you can crack the screen. Just find it out now and I enjoy your videos.
In the new clash of clans update there's a scenery theme anime that if you look up theres a 2 goblin doing a fusion technique in the left side of a map and its also a barbarian doing a super saiyan in the right bottom
Also, in Demolition Man: Sylvester Stallone will have something to tell you about your choice of difficulty.
1:50 The very first time I drove a car with GPS in GTAIV, I heard that detail. I didn't give much to it though since I thought it was nothing special. A few hours in I also turned music down and GPS voice off since I found it very annoying.
Hey CaptainEggcelent a pretty cool detail in Gta 4 involves the Pay’n spray different cars you bring in will have different lines when you come out best example of this are the Jalopy Cars that are around South Bohan
The GTA 4 Bing Bong sound is the same as NYC subway "doors closing" sound
I'm unsure if this is a detail or an easter egg. But in MK1 scorpions 2nd fatality is called killer klones from nether realm, which is a reference to killer clowns from outer space.
Idk if its really an easter egg but I found a spot on the Hoth escape mission in Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga where you can infinitely farm studs if you just alternate between shooting the wall panels that are parallel to one another.
Another little thing idk if ppl know about. Is if you hold your control stick left of right WHILE SETTING STILL.... the signal will start blinking
In dead island two when you first leave the sewers and see all the graffiti near a work bench room is a painted door with teeth I would like to believe this is a nod to Trevor Henderson’s smile room monster.
Man. That teacher that gives you the vibes hit home.
Captain eggscelent really meant it after the “so you can look very clever”
He put it at the start
My Summer car is like The long drive😮 I like the long drive a lot! I sadly can't play it on consoles but that's cool I always thought it's the only game like that
Long time i appreciate the work you did. BUT non i really appreciate you, cuz your favorite movie of all time
Hey captain
New York resident here
Being that Gta 4 was modeled after NYC
The Bing bong sound is actually the sound that most MTA trains use when the doors are closing
Why it's the car GPS sound in game is a good question though
I have a cool detail in GRID 2 , In the coms the one who speak to you if you go into tunel you can hear statcic and disruptions in the voice becuase the signel is not clear
Since you’re out here with Skywalker Saga, there’s a lot of fun little details when you fight a boss and their name card appears
They always have a subtitle inputted in Aurebesh that has a cute little ringer for the character
For example Darth Maul’s was “Red dude with an attitude”
Already covered a whole bunch of them before!
Please can you the dancing chairs Easter egg in the Lego Star Wars complete saga original
*About the Police and The guy on the ground:*
he's the typical homeless guy who sleeps in weird places so people call the police to move him and tell him to go somewhere else.
love your work ❤
i knew about the bing bong detail when i first played gta 4 years ago its a great detail
In left 4 dead 2 you can see the bullets in your gun
When using the akimbo pistols if you look at the Glock in your left hand when performing an empty reload you can see the first round in the mag before your character releases the slide on it
Also in gta 5 if for whatever reason you have a radio station on that isn’t playing the appropriate mood music when Trevor attacks the oneils at their lab he will very angrily and pointedly say the music isn’t right and actively change it
I found that out while trying to turn it off and I accidentally changed to a station playing pop songs
I think the cop in the GTA detail is waiting because he thinks that the guy is having a seizure.
Also, just in case you were wondering the newspaper at the end is in Finnish
In saints row 4, when your captured and in the classic show simulation, if you go to your weapon hub all you get is a thumbs up.
In Far Cry 4 Longinus Mission 1 Sermon on the Mount, the sound of the device that guides you have the same sound of josh pc in Watch Dog 2
Sylvester Stallone calling you the first action hero has to be a reference to Arnold Schwarzenegger's movie Last Action Hero. I love that movie. Unless Last Action Hero is an actual term, because Sylvester emphasizes the First as opposed to the Last.
In GTA IV, I could hardly find a car with a male GPS voice and the voice saying "bing-bong" was not really that rare. It didn't happen often, but it wasn't so uncommon either.
.
So glad I'm subscribed to you brother!
Thanks!
In Batman Arkham Knight, if you look at Barbara Gordan with Detective Vision, you can see where she shot by Joker in her lower spine where she was paralyzed by him
Apart from a cut subplot involving a female undergrounder who's actually Spartan's daughter, can agree that Demolition Man is still a good campy film. Game isn't worth rereleasing though.
Try slurring in Cryptmaster.
In dishonoured, on the bank job mission, if you head to the roof entrance, a dark souls reference/easter egg
Day 2: There is a deep detail in cod ww2. In operation cobra, when you storm the last trench(i think) for a few moments, you can see a german soldier taking a smoke before dying.
On Tom Clancy's ghost recon wild lands while you have your gun out you can see that they don't have their finger on the trigger (easier to see in free cam)
I don't know if I'm just a bit slow but in battlefield 3's story when killing someone thermal scopes will show the body temperature dropping
I think the laying guys with the cop next him could be a Tony Hawk Pro Skater you con play as a cop and you can dob a move called Ollie the magic bum.
In fortnite, when using one of the jam track emotes. The characters are actually playing the correct chord and putting their hands in the correct spots. Same thing with drums. I know it's not big but hey, a level a detail that wasn't necessary
In angerfoot you can find Hotline miami main character and a pizza box whit a gun in front of a door kinda like the start of hotline miami
Just finished gta iv .... gonna go straight to tbogt ... about the GPS , i only encountered "Bing bong" a few time.... I didn't know this is rare .....
Deadass thought the thumbnail was a lego RE4 lmao
That would be a wild Lego game to see get made.
To be fair Skywalker Saga defaulted the camera to be over the shoulder
In My Summer Car, if you go into the sauna and pee on the coals, you get the achievement “Golden Shower”.
The "bing bong" voice line only activates when there is 100 yrds to the next move. This is how it's working
The cop overlooking a downed npc is meant to be an officer moving on a homeless guy, I think.
you know what, that does make sense. Though, I don't get why the guy on the floor isnt moving lol
@@CaptainEggcellent It may be a broken or unfinished script, considering its in a hidden spot that not many players will go. it wouldnt be the only broken scripting in gta 4
In the first fable game you have to spell out a demon doors name. His name is hits but you can spell out shit and balverines will attack you.
I wonder if the cop detail in GTA 4 is part of a larger undiscovered easter egg
Always love some cool game details
The gta 4 easteregg in the police station is supposed to spawn two more cops that surround the guy in the stairwell
"Bing bong" sound probably most from convertible car.
Theres a easer egg in wolverine origins in chapter 2 the froze tundra on the what i do isnt nice checkpoint theres a tree log turn right and theres a tree log leaned against the wall that u can walk up (not gon spoil easer egg)
3:24 not in a million years would I have guessed that clip came from resident evil
I mean, the third game ends with you fighting a monstrous blob with a railgun, and the seventh involves stuffing your severed hand in a pocket after your wife cut it off _with a chainsaw_ before hacking her to death with a hatchet. A soldier using military equipment is fairly pedestrian by comparison.
@@AJadedLizard my point is that resident evil is not a military shooter. That scene looks like it’s from a battlefield or cod game. It’s so far from its roots
@@goldenfiberwheat238 Resident Evil was literally conceived as a Doom clone action movie spoof, the survival/horror elements were mainly due to hardware limitations. It's been about a pharmaceuticals company making weapons for terrorists since 1996. It's had literal magic since 2003, and been an action game since at least 2005, arguably since 1998's Re3. It's far more tonally consistent with the rest of the series than...whatever the fuck was going on in Village, to say nothing of Re7.
@@AJadedLizard man I’ve never even played a resident evil game. I’m just saying that clip doesn’t look like what I think of when I think resident evil
@@goldenfiberwheat238 To be fair, most of the people who really enjoy Re7 haven't either. If you put gameplay together of every game in the series before and after Re7, with the exception of its direct sequel, it's the game which will stand out the most.
Always here for the 🐐, IV!
Probably a stretch... but the policeman and man laying down, possibly a reference to the music video to Radiohead - Just
These were great scenes. Very funny. Thank you
In my freindly neighborhood after you go and pick the first gun in the game and then go back to the place you first met ricky in the hotel lobby you get some snacks
